Just opened today! Anyone know what percentage of job offers are based outside Dublin just out of curiosity?
Wicklow hasn’t moved a sliver for both internal and open since October .. not a single mm .. really hoping we are due an internal competition soon as I’m seriously loosing the will to live ..
Monaghans not moved in a year, still oom 4
Since I entered this comp, was promoted internally to EO and HEO…moves at glacial pace for those outside Dublin.
Anyone who was placed in Dept of Justice in Dublin, what area did you get put into and where is the location?
That gives me hope haha, I want to get HEO
Got results last August for Waterford and no move since, still oom 3 for open and Interdepartmental.....any others on here waiting for Waterford also??
🙈 I feel your pain !!
does anyone know what pre-employment checks entail? Do they ask for a reference before they actually tell you which Department you’ll be assigned? I’m reluctant to ask my manager for a reference which will let them know I’m wanting to leave without knowing exactly where I’m going! 🙈
Can anyone advise roughly where they are at with Galway and Westmeath?
I've emailed PAS for an update on Waterford.....called all candidates up to and including batch 6 so due to call from batch 7 when positions are available...as stated previously moving at snails pace unfortunately
Does anyone know when this panel closes?
You will be asked to provide details of references and PAS will contact them prior to any offer being made. I believe the wording they use is “your are under consideration….” and assuming all is well with your clearance checks you’ll be offered the position.
Edit: you won’t be told where your department is until you get your notification of assignment, after clearance.
waiting on internal panel. Currently CO, know of 2 EO retirements this summer in my place…
30th June
Hi I have been asked to confirm my expression of interest for an interview in Louth, doing this will rule me out from being considered for my other county of preference. Anyone else received same notification ?
Hi PAS confirmed with me this panel closes June2024
Possibility of it being extended if there isn't another panel in place by the time it expires PAS informed me last week
I got eo last June, started on scale 4 does anyone know if I'll skip any scales like you did on co?
You skip the points only once. So if you have skipped points 4 and 8 on the CO scale already, no further skips are due. However if you only skipped point 4 on CO scale before promotion, then you would skip point 8 on EO scale.
If an internal comps comes up do you do all the usual aptitude tests ?
Some depts like Revenue use tests, others like Social Protection just use mix competency based interviews/presentations
Yes, PAS sent out multiple emails this week for expression of interest for interview in various Counties.
I was quite disappointed that I am ruled out of my other county of choice, happy I got the offer of interview though
It's a strange system that makes zero sense. You don't even get the chance to progress to potential interview for what could be your number 1 location. You can see how OOM can drop a few places all of a shot due to people who have to pull out of one location if they take an "expression of intense" for an interview. No guarantee of even getting an interview even!
I know it's super strange, hope I get an interview
hi, what oom around are you for Louth?
I’m over 60 Só probably not this panel
Thank you
Some updates from PSA on OOM's reached and placed.
Tipperary
Open panel: 76
Interdepartmental panel: 45
Kilkenny
Open panel: 47
Interdepartmental panel: 27
hope so as im only a few away from interdepartmental and less than 20 places off the open
any update on the Kerry panel?
