We're a good few miles apart but the rain woke me some time during the night too. Awful sleety showers this morning. We're finding it hard to shake off the winter.

We'll have to update the old saying to 'March coming in like a lion and April going out like a lamb'. (Hopefully!)

Strong wind all day, some heavy showers with hail stones. They usually last about 5 minutes but they were heavy. Sun is out other than that.

At least it is mostly sunny and mostly dry but it was a nice morning for the first of March.

some desperate showers overnight here in the north west again, roads covered in puddles. So much for very little rain over the next 5-10 days according to the weather apps.

At least the wind is gone today if that's a positive bloody freezing yesterday

Heavy showers and cold breeze again this evening in Kildare

Today was cold, breezy, with heavy downpours interspersed with sunny warm spells. The six calves were tucked up in the creep feeder again tonight - one jumped up and ran out when I tried to take the photo. I'm going to add some calf crunch into the feeder trough tomorrow.

Another soaking morning in monaghan. Plenty of rain with small sun this few days.

This settled weekend is showing no signs of coming yet

Met Éireann have really angered a lot of lads around here promising this good weather the last 3 weeks. Should have said nothing when they clearly had no idea if or when good weather was coming. Looks like at best we might get 2/3 semi dry days this weekend now and so far this week hasn’t stopped raining long enough here for the concrete to dry let alone make any difference to land.

The only weather forecasts i usually watch are the English met office on YouTube, they have got the forecast for this week spot on so far, they do a ten day trend forecast on a Wednesday or Thursday every week which is usually pretty accurate. You’d want to be badly stuck to listen to the like of clueless spoofers like Joanne Donnelly for anything resembling a reliable forecast. Met Eireann is full of lazy incompetent people who couldn’t give a fiddlers.
