Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Wouldn't be like TM to be liberal with the truth sure.. ;)
hmmmmmmmmm
Dublin too, blast from the the past!
And Galway.
Although I thought they were totally meh when I saw them 30 years ago (Feile 94) so I'll be giving this one a miss.
Monroe’s in Galway also. Never been interested in seeing these guys, but no harm in checking them out if any recommendations here.
no idea what they're like live but that album has just the most superb sound quality to it.
vocally, they are very original, and album is quite good overall. i mean, how many baritone type vocalists are out there, a few but not that many.
No harm checking them out on a Wed night with little else on.
I saw Crash Test Dummies in the Stadium in October 1994 and again doing one of their showcase gigs in Whelan's in January 1996. I'll definitely go to this.
oh god no, I’ll be trying for Dublin but a smaller venue would be right special.
Public Service Broadcasting playing Olympia on October 13, Belfast the night before
Where did you spot that?
Official now
And Cork the night before Belfast
These were outstanding, the last time i saw them, May ‘22 in Cyprus Avenue
they were brilliant at body and soul last year! Very tempted
Public Service Broadcasting are always brilliant. Their 2018 Academy show is one of my all-time favourite gigs.
Crash Test Dummies also playing the Guildhall in Derry on October 31st.
All provinces tour of Ireland. Nice to see.
Magic in the Olympia too, great fun.
Did you not lose some of that magic by remaining dry @Stillill42 ?
A rare band, Seath, in that they are equally compelling wet or dry. 😉
DJ Shadow coming back for more pretty quickly!
Fontaines new single out tomorrow evening (probably with album announcement too), hopefully they announce 3 Arena/SSE Arena gigs with it; desperate to see them again. Feels like forever since Vicar Street.
will be summer before tour announcement. Tour announcement tied into album release date in a few months. will be doing 3 arena here.
The album is probably being announced tomorrow. I also read someone in a Facebook group say a week or so ago to expect a tour announcement soon. No idea of course if it will be tomorrow
single tomorrow, album week or two after
Is it a few months or a couple of weeks??
Kamasi Washington, Olympia, Wednesday 23rd October: https://mcd.ie/artists/kamasi-washington
I was just thinking to myself the other day that he'd be a great booking for ATN. Oh well…
He was superb the last time around there - I'm no longer in a bad mood this morning.
For anyone interested, the Public Service Broadcasting tickets cost 41.70 ( + fees, around 5 euro) for all areas of the Olympia.
