I wonder how this will work out for him

I'd say he's having a whale of a time in there and doesn't want to come out. All this acting up and giving out isn't about transgender at all, it's because he has no normal mates on the outside.
It's a weird article, apparently he's a model prisoner and staff have sympathy for him too...
Who knows. Maybe being in prison is a welcome relief from being away from his family 😆
Compared to home, I'd say the Joy is a joy.
He should play "The Joy" with Kirsty Hawkshaw through his headphones on his gadget if it is allowed that is..
Obviously it paints them in a bad light so they want it suppressed.
Facts matter nothing to the Burkes.
Latest figures:
Fines for contempt : 27/01/2023 to 13/04/2024 = 442 days @ €700 per day = €309,400.00 as of today.
Fines for trespass: €15,000.00 (Justice Owens, 19/05/2023).
Legal costs awarded against EB: Unknown.
I think the cracks are starting to show.
I believe everyone has a limit to their mental endurance, even if they believe they have God and righteousness on their side.
I wouldn't be surprised if EB's eventual "get out of jail card" comes as a result of a fully-fledged mental health crisis, possibly even requiring some time in hospital.
The Irish Sun ran with the disciplinary hearing story: that the Governor can reduce visits, phonecalls, tuck-shop privileges and move him from one part of the prison to another, amongst the options available to him. The Gov wont be alone ith Enoch during the hearing as prison staff advisors will be present during the disciplinary hearing.

He's not allowed play anything with his gadget. Mammeh would tear him apart.
have to agree, after seeing he’s in trouble with prison staff for being abusive I say his resolve is weaning!
I'm not sure. Sounds like he was on his self righteous ranting and probably took exception with prison workers because in his mind they were breaking the law or something weird like that. Just my speculation. Clearly the Burke kids were raised differently and seem to have the resolve to spend years in jail over something like this. This mindset is very extreme and imo dangerous. There is some nasty stuff in the Bible and we don't know for sure what they take literally. If hes willing to give up years of his life languishing in prison then what else are they willing to give up. Lets not forget that from their mindset this is a complete injustice and crime being committed against them and it's of the most serious kind, considering they seem content that Enoch spends time in jail rather than complies with the process. You can sense the indignance they feel in some of their recent videos. I just find it all quite scary myself.
I wouldnt be scared my friend
These folk are just a bunch of misfits who seem to be brainwashed into stupidity.
What they seem to want to do to ruin their lives should be no concern to you.

Sorry but I think we've seem enough religious extremists and what that can lead to to dismiss any possibilities.
Not mis-fits at all. They are a cult and are adept at using the system to their advantage, most of the time. Hopefully the rags run some serious coverage of Daddy Burke’s criminal trial for assaulting a Garda. Cast this shower on a different light.
The Burke roadshow won’t be there that day, I guarantee it. Would love to see an alternative protest outside the Court that day. Chanting ‘Where is Ammi Burke!?
Where is Martina Burke!?
Where is DOCTOR Josiah Burke!?’
as Daddy walks in solo.
Think those recordings will ever be released to the public? Even if it's just a transcript.
Maybe if the contents back up the Garda version of affairs and their legal [DOJ?] team insist on the transcript being made public [in chronological order of recording] to the media to clear the air and blow away the cobweb spun by certain persons around the events in the courtroom.
Simeon wins his appeal and has his conviction quashed. A rare win for the household.
Judge Martin Nolan
Enough said.
Close, but it wasn't Judge Martin Nolan - it was Judge John Martin. :)
https://www.rte.ie/news/ireland/2024/0415/1443697-enoch-burke/
"At an appeal against his District Court conviction on Monday, Judge John Martin said he was not convinced that Simeon Burke’s “unbecoming” behaviour met the threshold for a public order offence."
Presumably put an actual appeal in based on points of law and didn't have the family circus screeching in/outside court.
It would be a pretty poor reflection on him as a qualified barrister, if he couldn't make a case to get himself off!
It's too much to hope for, but the rest of them should reflect on this, and what was handled differently to have his conviction quashed.
Now that it is, I wonder will he continue to keep the head down, or will he show up with the rest of them next time EB is in the High Court?
It seems, according to Simeon, that after the court rose for the first time on the day of the brawl in the courtroom and the Burkes were removed, the judges returned and a statement was made from the bench that if there were more unrest, the court would rise again and the hearings would be made electronically: without the presence of the Burke family members. The court rose again for a 2nd time after some of the Burke family began shouting at the judges again.
Simeon argued today to Judge Martin that that meant that the order leading to his removal from the court had been overturned as a result. Judge Martin may have taken that argument into account along with there being no viewable [TV] evidence of the brawl in the court between the Gardai and the Burkes leading him to allow Simeon Burke's argument to dismiss the conviction against him.
One other thing mentioned in the report of todays court proceeding was that Simeon was called to the bar recently.
I think the main reason was simply that the judge didn't feel that the conduct as per the evidence presented amounted, beyond a reasonable doubt, to a criminal offence.
There is clear evidence of them doing things "differently" depending on the circumstances.
They went to court over one of the younger siblings not being allowed to get "estimated grades" in the leaving cert a few years back during Covid because they were home-schooled.
That was a fair and reasonable issue to take forward and they employed a barrister etc. and handled it like normal people and won. Similarly they went to court over another Sibling around delays relating to the award of their Doctorate (or Masters) and again they followed normal procedure and won the case in court.
However , in the Enoch case I think they know that have absolutely zero legal standing here so they have consciously chosen to follow the path they have explicitly to make it a "crusade" because had they followed the proper process this would have been quietly dealt with and they'd have lost and the wider world would have been none the wiser.
Exactly. It's precisely the same mindset as displayed by those who firebomb abortion clinics in the US.
If Enoch is prepared to do 2+ years for basically nothing, then 10+ years for a serious crime isn't that much of a big deal. They view themselves as incapable of wrongdoing no matter what, they can justify anything (to themselves, if no-one else).
Enoch's defamation against the SUNDAY Indo is set for next week, ref an article it published about him. He had an audio-visual hearing with the court yesterday from the 'Joy trying to set out his objections to part of the SUNDAY Indo defence but the judge said he could not do so now, it would be left to argue that in the actual court defamation hearing next week.
Before anyone asks, he is still getting paid as a teacher pending the outcome of the matter of his "employment" differences with the school and the arbitrator trying to settle that issue at a separate, non-judicial, venue. The monies he's been paid were not listed in today's Irish Indo article covering yesterdays and next weeks defamation case.
