Noticed that the other day but the self service checkouts are pretty quick when you only have a few items.
There are queues there whenever I go, I must pick the wrong time. 😛
It's similar in Tesco Deerpark in Killarney.
Saw no indications anything's happening at the Roast House. I doubt it with the owner's running Ballyseedy now.
It's not the previous owners who will be taking it on. There is someone else involved, it's at early stages I guess.
I see smaash burger are looking for staff. Does anyone want to be the inside man?😁
If anyone gets caught snooping around they might end up on the menu after getting smashed and burgered. 🤐
Ah I don't know, it could be great crack working there.
Where would I get a jersey framed in tralee??
I think the framing place down next to Gleasures funeral home do them.
I heard a vegetarian restaurant will be opening in where the Roast House was.
Yeah, that's what I heard.
Spot on thanks
Looks like burrito chain Zambrero are opening in Tralee at the Corrib Oil complex. Good to see as burritos were one popular food option that Tralee seemed to surprisingly lack.

What is being built next to the public toilets in Fenit by the main beach?
Cafe with a couple of apartments above I think, looked at the plans online ages ago but can't remember details.
Oh really. I was thinking it might be changing rooms or something. Didn't expect it to be a cafe with apartments! Mike won't be happy! 🤔
He needs a bit of competition. Was in there last week for the first time. Will be my last. Huge que and kids behind the counter who knew nothing of managing the demand.
4 drinks took them 20 minutes to make and with that they weren't all done at the same time. Got a coffee a and it took another 10 minutes to get the rest of the drinks.
There is changes going on too where the existing toilets are being demolished and rebuilt with some changing areas I think and some other bits, some of the playground being used too.
Planning permission is in for that cafe for a long time, I'd say even before Mike did his renovations. Personally I prefer the coffee in the supermarket! I do love the chips in Mike's though but last time I waited so long for a bag of chips I was sure they had lost the order, definitely needs a bit of a shake up service wise.
I don't really tend to go to Mike's that often, just never really have the time to go out there. But I happened to be there today and it was pretty quiet when we got there, so we didn't have to wait long. It got busier as we were there, but nothing crazy. They do tend to have a lot of teens working there. Its a nice place though, great to see it open all the time now rather just in the summer.
All Tesco's are going like this.
There really trying to make people exit through the tills.
I'd regularly go to Mikes and I can't say I've ever had any unreasonable waits. There is a young group behind the counter but they are always extremely pleasant and well on top of things. I guess anywhere can have an off day but in general I have found them to be pretty good.
I see bio Atlantis won an appeal over a new intake area.
Redevelopment of Tralee sports Complex out for public consultation!

Hi All,
Would anyone know of any houses for rent in the Castleisland area? Or ballymac area?
We popped into Ballyseedy garden centre today, hadn't been there since all the drama! We fancied a coffee & cake, but it was finished serving any type of food or coffee by 3.50pm! It wasn't very busy there as it was! Not sure why they would want to close that early for the cafe. I know the hot food section used to close first, but they would always serve coffee for another while. If they want to get people back in there, they need to rethink that one!
Just had a wander around Meadows & Byrne, but everything is so expensive. Didn't stay long, but saw the sister of NOD is back working there having left a few years ago. Apparently its to be renamed Kingdom Garden centre, and the name appears to have been taken down from the outside.
According to the Company Reg office Kingdom Garden Centre was registered on 8th April and the registered office address is 7 SAINT MARY'S PLACE, ATHLONE, WESTMEATH, N37 WR94, IRELAND. That address is the same as NMcD's dad's Viking Tours business. More complications for all connected businesses.
Were were in there the Sunday before, also around 4pm and were greeted with the same, stools on top of tables and cafe closed!
Seems crazy, especially on what would probably be their busiest day.
Is NMcD's mother still around?
Heard a rumour she had gone to the US, but probably more BS
If they want people to come back, especially to the cafe, they will need to open later. Closing before 4pm on a Sunday is crazy! I haven't seen his mom since all that happened, don't know where she's at. His sister is back working there though.
Chatting to someone this morning who said the cafe always closed at 4.
