Suir Valley Railway are getting a steam engine from Wales. It’s been sitting in a museum over there so will take some work to get going, but has apparently been well looked after.
Was heading home last night through Ballybricken about 3.00am. First off I'm a teetotaler. When I came upon, well this will sound strange, but i was 90% sure it was a fox carrying something in his mouth. Every now and again it put this thing down walked a bit, then ran back and picked this thing up again, did this a few times. Then I startled it and it took off like a shot. My question; are there foxes in Waterford and have anybody ever seen of heard about them in the City.
I always see them in the city when im going to work early or finishing late ,seen one near Walsh park with a dead pigeon in its mouth recently, ive probably seen them on and off for about 30yrs maybe more, they are safer in the city away from all the sociopaths on their horses in the country!
I can't speak for Waterford specifically, but urban foxes are a common thing. No reason not to be here too.
They are all over the place! They will live anywhere!
Even Foxes love The Exchange and Alfies
They're in Viewmount and can be seen late at night or early morning. One got two of my hens.
outskirts of the city, always around here....
I saw one in Roanmore park last week. It was around 10:30 pm.
jesus, what happened in dunmore!
Very sad and heart goes out to the rest of the family & friends
Pure evil if it's in fact sinister, mental health card just won't cut it.
My apologies if I offended anyone
i completely disagree here, never underestimate the seriousness of chronic mental health issues, and the serious failures thats currently occurring within our health system in dealing with them, i wouldnt be surprised if this woman was already in a&e, but in saying that, we re both speculating now, so....
rip little man
was in Dealz today in town, staff said there rebranding to Pepco, haven't heard of them myself.
It's another brand used through Europe. A few stores in Ireland were rebranded last year on a trial basis. Maybe they're doing the whole lot now.
Pepco is the name of the main company who own Dealz, Poundland (in the UK) and Pepco.
I hope that person burns in hell and experience the worst not best of our pathetic mental health service
this actually says more about you than them, this is clearly a serious failure of our health system, that woman will now live in her own personal hell for the rest of her life, prison is not the place to resolve such issues, she clearly needs to be sent to the central mental hospital, our legal system is not the system to deal with this....
Why have sympathy ?
Always feel child murders should do away with themselves instead of killing an innocent child
cause these type of situations are rarely clearly cut, theres generally serious complexities involved, and like anything in waterford village, im starting to hear from much closer contacts to the situation, which im sure some of the information is untrue, but.....
this is clearly a case of a psychotic break, with long term mental health issues, our legal system is not the correct forum to deal with this, she clearly needs to go to the central mental hospital, but that actually may not happen....
Ladbrokes on Parnell Steet are closing down, last day of trading is 21st April.
Paddy Power's in Michael Street closed earlier in the year also!
I'm glad to see the end of them anyway!
Yes, I have seen hedgehogs, frogs, bats, squirrels, and foxes in the city over the years.
I passed one tonight coming in from Tramore & another on the Cork Road by Woodies!
Approximate time was 11:15.

"To date, Motorsport Ireland confirmed they received no questions or feedback on any of the documents submitted, despite multiple communications to the Department asking if additional information was required."
Are there any polls out for the Euros or location elections for Ireland south/Waterford ?
hi
on a bank holiday Monday, can a normal non commercial car park in the loading bay in front of the Granville hotel/shaws for free and not be clamped etc? I know it’s not allowed on a normal Monday so just wondering about a bank holiday.
I don't know but I won't risk it. I remember when Krombert and Schubert closed down and people assumed they could use their car park only to end up being clamped.
for anyone wondering while Dealz in Michael street are closed, there was a fire:
