Previous owner didn't worry about things like that
surprising addition in this otherwise ordinary looking estate house

If it was a decent location for touring, you could rent out a few spaces on the tarmac as a motorhome aire in the summer months. Bring in a few bob.
didn't see that coming
That looks like a great house. Not over looked out the back either which is a massive plus and looks to be a quiet estate out front too. Then the swimming pool is a big bonus.
There’s no water in it. Neither is it mentioned as a swimming pool, just swimming pool area. Caveat emptor…..
Debatable, it's being dwarfed by UHL at the back
Pic 24? Its a lazy description overall though, the list of rooms stops at the hall and a small bit of the living room. It also promises all day sunshine in the garden, the grass is in great condition considering it doesn't get any rain.
Haha 😁

Distinctive. Vaguely reminds me of that seed vault in Norway.
I think the outside looks like something you're more likely to see in Belfield. I also wonder if that "pond" stinks a bit in the summer>
However, I do love the inside; bright, blonde and simple elegance.
I'm actually a bit sad about this house. The entrance to the beach is right beside it and the lake fascinated me as a kid.
The old house was gorgeous…as a kid this was my dream house!
I honestly don't know how they got planning permission for THAT looks like a prefab on blocks. Completely not in keeping with the area.
Agree. Lovely house internally but just looks like it shouldn't be there and I wouldn't be surprised if the owners weren't overly popular with the locals.
Beautiful house inside, enormous price tag!
Fairly sure this featured on a Dermot Bannon show at some point.
Possibly was one of the "come and look at what these people did" inspiration homes he brings people to visit on Room to Improve
aerial pics make it look a bit like a mobile home beside the beach
One of my favourite houses in Dublin. Being able to fish from your house should be on everyone’s wish list. However, all the houses along that stretch are battling against the rising sea levels. The dunes at the front are reducing with each storm.
Even the old house that I absolutely loved I wouldn't pay that price for!
You're right beside a "right of way " to the beach. So during the summer months you will be at the mercy of visitors, especially the ones that leave more than footprints behind.
For that price I'd want more privacy (and a different house)

apologies if this has been posted before, I was wondering why it was cheap in that location..
How is that cheap? And before I clicked after reading the location bit I assumed it was the part of Kildare close to Dublin border. Outside Kildare town is a bit out there I would say imo anyway.
House seized by CAB. The attic room looks tight.

What the house looked like before.
I was wondering what the double doors were for. Then I was also wondering how someone accessed the granny flat in the back garden. Last picture shows all. Good spot to store a push bike if you were renting the granny flat.
It's hard to tell what shape the attic room actually is given the use of ridiculous lenses for most of the pictures.
Pic 13 of the toilet is like a bad drug trip. Did the photographer really look at those pics and think, oh that looks natural?
Would you buy a house that had been seized by CAB?? Honest question.....I'd be too afraid tbh , pick your battles n all that.
House looks decent enough. The bidet and loo towel rail between them, surely you want them closer together?
The water's greener than Lough Neagh! - the ideal house for algae enthusiasts. I'd fill the "lake" in, and have a nice wild garden, something you could actually enjoy. Actually, I'd demolish the bloody eyesore and use the rubble for infill. Then I'd build a house with separate cooking, dining, and lounge facilities, so I didn't have sit watching television/reading against the backdrop of rattling pots and pans and cooking smells. It's a "no" from me - not at that price it was ever likely to be a "yes".
yz
was initially looking at the first few rendered photos and taught that’s a decent house for that money in that location and then I seen remaining photos and coped on why .. while looked like good value at first but but obviously only getting a shell in a back garden of a cottage .. but generally houses in that area do reach a premium.
EA doing a lot of press advertising in fairness:

And a glowing valuation of the €431k worth of work done on the house from an impeccable source

The size of the house, but they haven't bothered with a family bathroom upstairs! So the two back bedrooms have to either use the en-suites in the other rooms, or come downstairs (once installed).
