I wasn't quoted in the reply, so I didn't see it at the time.
It's still a valid question.
No it's not. But here you go anyway. https://www.thesun.ie/news/11439155/defence-forces-gaa-bid-recruit-women-opportunities/
Here is the relevant section from the Sun article. He confirmed a new “traffic light” fitness system for the girls is to be introduced rather than the straight forward pass or fail system that they used for would-be female recruits in the past. He said: “This means that female applicants who do not automatically pass the fitness test may be selected for induction should the HR demand exists.” A search found similar information was given to a Dáil question https://www.kildarestreet.com/wrans/?id=2023-10-03a.80The Defence Forces are also taking a broad approach in terms of fitness testing. In addition to a re-examination of the female specific milestones that have to be achieved in terms of fitness standards, there has been a change from a “Pass or Fail” system in terms of fitness test scoring to a “traffic light” system. This means that female applicants who do not automatically pass the fitness test may be selected for induction, should the HR demand exist.
But they are. If you don't want to accept that well that's your own problem not mine.
I wonder what issue he'll find with this source….
Probably no link again will be his issue 😂
There's nothing to accept. The statement from the Dail record is absolutely clear that fitness testing for female applicants is continuing.
This is a matter of fact, not an opinion that can be accepted or denied.
Yes or no the entry requirements for the Defense Forces have been made easier again for females compared to males?
Don't expect a one word answer to that LOL
That's not what you originally claimed though.
If a female fails a fitness test can they still get into the Defense Forces?
And that's not what you originally claimed either!
What did i originally claim?
Short memory?
Now the Defense (sic) Forces are pretty much getting rid of fitness testing for females!
No i don't. Fitness tests are no longer a requirement for females to enter the Defense Forces as if they fail they can still get in. So yes in fact fitness tests are pretty much being got rid of. Tell us all how that's not the case Mr White Knight?
Because they're not being got rid of. They're still doing fitness tests.
I didn't say they were did i? The fact is a male has to pass a fitness test otherwise he won't get in, whereas a female can fail but still get in. Is that true or not?
Yes, you did.
"Now the Defense (sic) Forces are pretty much getting rid of fitness testing for females!"
Where in that post did i say fitness tests were being gotten rid of?
In the bit where you said; "Now the Defense (sic) Forces are pretty much getting rid of fitness testing for females!"
Again where did i say the words ''getting rid of''? There's a difference between getting rid or and pretty muc getting rid of. Now answer the question i asked you?
They're not getting rid of anything. They're changing how they use the results.
Answer the question.
You want the same answer again?

Can a female enter the Defense Forces even if the fail a fitness test?
It’s actually worse - the male entrants have “pass/fail” - female have a “traffic light” grading system and do even if we don’t make the grade, and demand is there (quotas etc) then unfit women will go through.
Why are you asking me questions that you know the answer to?
They're not getting rid of fitness tests, pretty much or any much. They're changing how they use fitness test results, but I guess that might not have gotten so much attention,
Do you think it is sexist that a man has to pass a fitness test to get in the defence forces while a woman doesn't?
