But is that where the land ends?
Ah there's a few scoundrels there too
My wife comes from down that way 🤦. Enjoy the craic with the brothers in law…
no story, just trying to define the area, where the finest, most decent people in the world comes from
what’s the story there?
Clonakilty is only the start of west cork. Goleen, allihies, kilcrohane, now they are villages that I consider are in West Cork. Clonakilty is very border line
See taafe is selling coolmohand herd at the moment
That's a house name
Look atvthe address of the house
still very difficult to buy a house with a decent BER
Yeah the land ends just west of clon, west of that the land is pure sh#te
What's that post about

Never heard of that place in West cork
Tbf to Aidan Brennan I think that comment was made a good 6 weeks ago when land was drier and farmers weren’t as pissed off
we got the cows out when ever we could and it has definitely saved us a lot of silage and headaches now wondering what we’ll feed the cows. I know not everyone can get cows or stock out due to land type but anyone that is/was able to has been able to stretch silage
I’ve started bringing in some zero grazed grass for a neighbour there this week whos just about out of silage. Delighted to be able to do it for them to take some worry out of it for them
Work brought me down to lands end in West Cork today, Couldn't get over the amount of bales moving on the road
well wear my friend with your brand new purchase…
what are good quality pbr fr/ho maiden heifers making?
That's what I thought, if all these lads can come up with 10k , 20k, 30k for land but can't buy bales or meal it's conflicting.. it seems all you listen to in a year like this is lads are broke and in '22 I was told they were millionaires. I have been neither yet anyway.
I don't know never sowed anything other than grass. I don't know if it might be possible or prudent to insure a crop like spuds?
The landlords are setting the terms and conditions now, the worm always turns but it took long enough to turn in favour of the landlord and mightn't stay so for long
Was just thinking there say you have land rented year on year but didn't get to harvest the crop- like spuds- what happens for the new year, if someone else was taking the land
What Warren buffet does is buy stock cheap, tell everyone else to invest in it and sell when the price peaks. No cow shiiite, or pulling or hauling.
My experience would be kinda the opposite.
Pay the end of the year me hole ......pay up or someone else is getting it is what happens round here.......if your lucky enough to be offered anything
There may be some gambling going on I suppose, but I have leased a bit myself and had to pay the full year upfront.maybe that isn't standard practice.
Warren Buffett has a famous saying along those lines but I can't remember it, hence why I'm still rooting away I suppose 😄
That person was the makings of a great economist.
