Normally you would see a date in the calendar at this stage for the Bray Airshow. I wonder if it is going ahead this year🤔
Could be June(hopefully, not)before you see it.Def not publicised in Feb for 2023
A short time following the 2022 event they updated their website with the 2023 dates, hence my ask.
I would say it's the weekend of the 28th of July as Sligo is on that weekend and the 2 of them are to run together to ease numbers on bray. The catalina has an event listed for Sligo that weekend.
You would hope so but think not. I would like to be wrong. And sligo is a pay in event so should have money for reinventing into the following years event. Wouldn't mind the typhoon at it but is that putting bar to high🤔
Website started a countdown to the 2023 show (though didn't show dates) on Jan 24th 2023 however the actual official confirmation didn't come until May.
Has the Green Party councillor finally got her way about the show being cancelled.
No Bray display date for the Red Arrows on there 2024 schedule. The Reds are heading to Canada in July. Almost the same aircraft every year. The Viggen pilot offered to do a display on his return from Bray on the Saturday and was told to land as the PC9s couldn't wait !
Looks like some movement. While no dates, application for traders have opened it seemed
This year could be the toughest yet for Air Shows with the War in Ukraine and Gaza I would say any Jet Fighters would be met with howls of protest , looking back at Salthill they had non stop protests which was a shame I'm sure its hard to deal with that every year .
I'm not sure that there have been any current frontline combat aircraft at Bray in recent years in any case, unless my memory is faulty.
B52, F18 comes to mind
I'd walk the cliff walk barefoot to see them in Bray.

I'd forgotten about the F-18. The B-52 was in 2010 so not really very recent.
Look at the display line. Thesedays it'd be halfway to Anglesea.
You seem to be implying criticism of someone - who?
I think he is on about what he said the display line.., I have been to most of the shows and in fairness the display line is a bit out to feel the power and noise I remember the Swede historic flight and they were well out.
You would get a better view on a ship or boat! Last few years I went to Baldonnel, Weston and Dublin Airport. If you have a radio scanner and know certain people you can see alot. Viggen at Baldonnel did a nice local display also the Vampire afew years ago.
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight have just released their 2024 display schedule.
Saturday 3rd of August is marked down for Bray.
No-one, just frustration. After Shoreham, display lines went so far away from the crowd for safety reasons as to be no fun any more. You can barely see/feel the planes anymore.
They would be one of the main draws for me to attend. Not overly bothered by seeing the Red Arrows or Royal Jordian af again.
The Reds have a gap in their schedule around the 3/4th of August. Think this could be a leave break for them however.
Website has been updated to add the date and countdown. Looks like a 1 day show on Saturday 3rd August with no Sunday show
https://brayairdisplay.com/
Something tells me the lineup will be quite light touch given the Saturday date.
Unusual decision to host a one day airshow on a Saturday
They may have concluded that the attendance largely just gets spread over two days anyway and that the costs of running a two-day event don't justify that approach. Also, the selection of day could be influenced by things like availability of participating aircraft. If it is on a Sunday, UK-based participants may not get home till Monday, which may not suit operators and crew. This is just conjecture on my part but I am sure the organisers have their reasons.
Reds will be going to Canada
Red Arrows first display in Canada not until the 24/08 with a number of UK show appearances ahead of this date in August.
Royal Jordanian Falcons announced for Bray, Rush and Sligo.
Don't get hopes up on the Red Arrows. Bray falls on their 2 week break.
They take a 2 week break every summer, usually after RIAT and back the 2nd week of August. Not 100% sure but I think its a legal requirement for the break. After the break they then have to complete a full practice display again before being allowed to display.
It is what caused their cancellation in Newcastle at the 2015 show as they had not been able to complete a practice display following their 2 week break.
If you look at past schedules, there is always a 2 week break at the end of July/Start of August. Not saying it's impossible, it could happen but just don't get hopes up.
I tend to agree tbh
