What gets me is when food comes in anything other than a standard plate or bowl.
No, I don't want my chips in a miniature shopping trolley that looks impossible to clean properly.
Likewise I don't want my dessert in a mason jar, that either makes me eat one layer at a time or makes me dig to get a little bit of each layer in each mouthful. Causing a racket while I'm at it.
Keep it simple and don't make me work for it. I worked hard enough for the money to pay for the shaggin meal!

You got that right @Mam of 4 . Pompous baloney. Mash and casserole were good but some dopey chef thought it was a clever idea to serve it like that. It made no sense to be. But as I wasn't paying...fook it! The standard of hotel/pub food has fallen through the floor anyway..

Back from our 4th rabies vaccination, only one to go next week. Had the other half pull out the stitches a few days ago, so thats healing nicely.
Went shopping on the way home, nice to see prices dropping significantly, steak down about 60%, ground beef about 50%, same for eggs and chickens.
In my experience films that win Oscars are usually sh*te.
Same goes for books that won prizes.

trying to watch LaLa Land for the 3rd time. I didn’t make it through the other 2 but it won Oscars so it must be good ? Googling the storyline helps but doesn’t say much about the film
