1.6 and 2.0 d4d engines from 2015 onwards were old BMW N47 engines that BMW were phasing out from their own cars. Toyota in exchange gave BMW access to their hybrid technology.
2003-06 version. Truly awful.
Badly advertised (it’s up for €32) mk2 C5 estate 2.0 diesel. Not sure if it has hydractive suspension. Great spec. Asking €3200. I’m sure it can be gotten for within budget.

I think this is the switch for the hydractive, but I'm not 100% sure.
Not a bad looking bus. Interior is particularly lovely.
Its done a bit of trailer work though and its sitting fierce low, soo suspension would be my big concern.
If it has leather interior it has hydractive suspension. Lovely spec car. Tiny mileage for
1 of these engines, if the mileage is correct. Way overpriced in my opinion but an amazing
car that will easily see 500,000kms if looked after.
Should not have needed a turbo at this mileage IF it was serviced properly.
Definitely shouldn't have needed a clutch either unless it had someone hard on a gearbox
driving it or it doing a lot of towing.
The temptation is strong with this one…
Sold!!! Wonder what it went for.
Mine could be up for sale soon..............
My convertible for sale. Phone hopping 60 seconds after ad went live. I bought it in 2019 from my friends. Used it as a weekend car for two years. No nct. 47,700 miles. Real Bangernomics price €1,000. I know it's below market price, but I've no parking now and it needs rear arches scabby bits painted. I suspect it'll be gone on Wednesday due to volume of callers.

NCT’d cars only in this thread I’m afraid. Here is the For Sale thread. Stick it up there. Plenty of people have made sales through it.
Best of luck with the sale 🙂

Doh 🤦♂️. Sorry, forgot NCT rule. TBH I’ve had so many calls and messages that I feel it’ll go on Wednesday.
Looking for a cheap LHD left hand drive car to drive down through Europe and leave there. One direction.
If anyone knows of one going or sees on in their online travels let me know!

I know Insignias aren't loved here, but this might be looked after.
400k km on that Insignia and he wants nearly 3k for it. 😲
I hope any potential buyer brings a Padre Pio sticker, bottle of holy water and a priest's blessing to help make it back from the test drive.
Mad money I agree, but if that Insignia has reached that mileage it must have had most of the known issues addressed by now...surely the oil pickup seal was done anyway??
Two good commuter cars for the Dublin area. Enough dents in them so you don't care about the ignoramus in the shopping centre car park. Economical, cheap on tax and insurance and super reliable. And they'll keep up with the bumper to bumper stuff easily enough.

2003 Nissan Micra, 01/25, €1100
2002 Yaris, 11/24, €1200

Others may prefer this, VW Polo 1.2, 09/24, but the NCT was done a fortnight ago. €1,200
Looks a lot cleaner than those above.

Would 3k for a 2015 Insignia be mad money? Looks well looked after and all leather seats.
Says its a former HSE car, so it was probably serviced on time you'd hope.
Out of interest, would you touch any car with 400k on the clock and a FSH?
I'd happily jump on that insignia if I had the money
If worried about pickup seal just get it done straight away.
Looks like a very nice car
Had a look on DoneDeal there out of curiosity and there’s nothing cheap, mostly classic cars come up.
Do you know anybody from a LHD country? They might put the word out their community for you, somebody could have something that they are looking to shift.

Not a looker, but you can't argue with a clean reliable cheap to tax and insure car with an NCT until summer 2025, even a bit of tax left, asking €1250. Surely yours for just a grand!
https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/nissan-micra-just-ncted/36514119
And look at this, an older Micra with NCT until end of May. Asking €350. I'd say he might take €200 cash. When is the last time we had an NCTd car in here for beer money? Could work for someone either needing a car for just a few months without much money to put into it, or a punter putting it through the next NCT and selling for a profit

How about this one?

Saw that! Bit pricey for what it is! Knock a grand off and maybe!! Thanks for
looking!
Thanks for looking! Yeah seems to be just classic’s etc!
My own car for anyone interested, just passed the NCT :)
https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/toyota-celica-2002/36582324
That's nice, we don't see too many Celicas in here. Is it your daily driver or did you manage to get classic insurance on it?
daily driver. not classic for another few years. AXA are quite good with insuring celicas.
That's me being an eejit more than anything else
