Played the game long enough. Hurlers (for the most part, Casey and Whelan two recent examples) pull low, any lad that instinctively pulls high has issues. Always thought it and nothing will change my mind. Had a few of my own teammates that were fond of it. Lads when they were 7 or 8 double vodkas deep into a session you gave them a wide berth. Propensity for violence.
It's an old maxim, but there's the happy drunk who loves everyone, and there's the lad that will fight at the drop of a hat. The sad thing is often the bad drunk can be sound enough outside of drink. He or she are best to give up drink.
But alcohol should never be used as an excuse for violence. We're all ultimately responsible for our behaviour.
Maybe Hayes was advised not to plead guilty .

She's doing what we used call 'whistling in the dark'. Basically making a lot of noise to hide fear. Attack being the best form of defence. Superman Kyle driving lads into the stands with a shoulder etc. If it helps her cope, leave her at it, behaviour as benign as a sarcoptic mange mite.

Thank God my high level athletic years were spent in the US where alcohol & cigarettes are taken a lot more serious than cannabis is, especially in sport. Even professional. Do Hayes some good.

It's about the availability of Kyle Hayes for the Limerick hurling team plain and simple. Anything else is weasel words. Well said.
If Hayes admitted that he did wrong and had genuine remorse then I would be OK with the sentence he got and would not care about any of the hurling stuff. I assume most people would be of the same opinion.
The issue is that his hurling connections were used during the case even though he sees nothing wrong with his actions. That is the problem and that is why it is linked to Limerick hurling.

Also I have seen loads of Limerick people with the opposite view of you so you are no reflection on Limerick or its people whatsover.
