Where to recycle old paint?

Anyone know? I would have thought the local recycling centre (scarriff in my case)... been looking at the page on clarecoco website - but no mention of paint.

'Liquids' are banned, yet motor oil is taken.

I have some empty paint tins that could probably go in as scrap metal. But I also have some with old paint in and not sure what to do with these.

The Inagh facility takes paint, as does the Smithstown/Shannon one, if you happen to be in the area. If you're buying a lot of paint, they might take the old paint back for you as well, though YMMV!

Ah great, thanks! I guess Scarriff is more of a sub-station. I'm bound to be around Ennis/Inagh at some point, just have to remember to take the paint with me :)

The one here in Nenagh takes it but only small amounts, too many classed as commercial

Shannon definitely takes paint but charges per tin, I might be mistaken but think it's a fiver for a large one
