The Guardian is reporting this evening that three men wearing camouflaged outfits administered open gunfire among people at a Concert Hall in Moscow.
There's are reports of an explosion carried at the venue as well. I don't know how heavy the explosion at the moment. But reports suggests it could be a very serious one.
No reports of any injuries so far.

It's absolutely horrible. Grown adults point scoring whilst innocent men, women and children where slaughtered by evil savages.
Would disagree with that. For all we know, many of the normal Russian public are no fan of Putin and his actions, but they can't do much about it.
It's not like living here, where you can protest against Gov, do it in Russia and you could find yourself in prison for a few years.
You presumably would then feel the same way about all the Israelis killed on October 7? Basically guilty by association, including children by sheer virtue of nationality?
They do not have an iota of comprehension to understand the devastation caused by a nuclear explosion in Eastern Europe, Ukraine or otherwise, would have catastrophic effects far beyond our worst nightmares.
Basically they think if Russia nukes Ukraine it won’t affect us. By God we are all fcuked if that happens.
I view it as a complete atrocity. I equally am concerned that Putin will use it to justify being more aggressive in Ukraine. The FSB are actively trying to link this to Ukraine, in spite of their being no evidence of such. So being concerned about how Putin is gonna exploit this is concerning.
Also, just to note, I don't view this as a remotely justifiable attack. Viewing it in a knock on impacts way is needed though.
Did we lay down with dogs when we allowed the Americans to land at Shannon on there way to illegally invade and occupy Iraq killing up to a million people.
Morally you have not got a leg to stand on, all killing of innocent civilians going about their daily lives should be utterly condemned no matter what country, race or religion they hail from.
ISIS are a shadow of their former selves
Even elementary class espionage/terrorism practitioners wouldn't make this kind of stupid mistake.
All very logical and sensible, and you're no doubt correct. I admit it freely, I am a complete cnt for not having a shred of sympathy for any Russian. But as much of a cnt as I am, just watch and see how this tragedy gets manipulated by Putin, now that will be a masterclass in next level cntery.
Cnts.
Yep. Same with the other major powers.
All chest thumping warmongers when it's bombing Asia/Africa into the stone age but as soon as it becomes a two way war it's suddenly unacceptable and disgusting to target population centres.
Russia is at war. It doesn't get to be sole arbiter of where that war is fought.
"Did we lay down with dogs when we allowed the Americans to land at Shannon"
Yes which is why many of us wanted it to stop and held our government responsible.
Also there doesn't have to be a point, to kill and be killed is the point, Allah and momo were nice and open about strategic aims but clear on the need to kill.
Western Europe is the main target but there are no shortage of jihadis in Russia itself and in places like Dagestan, Uzbekistan etc.
No shortage of weapons etc, easier to do.
Innocent children where executed last night and you've no sympathy for them?
Go outside and get some air for goodness sake.
Don't ISIS members usually want to die for their sky fairy as martyrs? Seems unusual they fled the scene unless they where headed to carry out another atrocity.
No, there have been plenty who have done that too: the Bataclan and the Brussels bombs both had a number of militants on the run for days afterwards as I recall. In one case the guy chickened out (the cafes near the Bataclan, I think, and also the Brussels airport bombs), and in others, like Charlie Hebdo, they escaped from the scene.
Russia are also fairly sympathetic to the Palestinians and Israel is far and away the number one priority of all islamists
I'd place ISIS a distant third behind either Russian security services or even Mossad as chief suspects
What will be the repercussions of this, what is Putin likely to do next?
will he declare war on some Middle East state.
The Russian military only has the capacity for one war. They will try to pin it on Ukraine and ultimately they only need that to be treated as the truth in Russia.
Russia supports Israel, not the Palestinians, who they couldn't care less about. They and China just voted against the US proposed ceasfire motion in the UN Security Council.
It's far more nuanced than that , while perhaps even more Israelis are of Russian origin than American, Russia is far less unequivocal in its support of Israel
Yet some people think Mossad did it🙄
He will say the world is out to get us, we need to protect ourselves so we need to mobilise. This will give him the several hundred thousand cannon fodder he needs to try and swamp Ukraine with.
Absolutely. You also notice how it's almost always men, very rarely women, who lack empathy for civilian victims and make them guilty by association. If we solved that problem most the problem would disappear
Russia is solidly behind the Palestinians and they likewise are solidly behind Putin and Russia.
Mossad knew about it at least 12 months before hand. Their innaction and lack of response is interesting.
In a similar vein, the US warned the Russians very clearly that a major terrorist attack was imminent, and yet at a concert with 8,500-9,000 people, there was hardly a security person to be seen. Would have been a great time to hold up anti-war anti Putin plackards and start shouting down Putin and the establishment. Try that on an ordianry street in Moscow and you'd be swarmed by some of those million protest supressors and carted away in minutes.
The problem of men ?
Im not so sure about that...maybe they are more vocal but ive encountered a fairly equal distribution of lack of empathy among men and women in my time......it just manifests itself differently.....but that could just be my experience
They knew that Hamas and the Palestinians were planning to kill Jews and talking about a raid, what was new about that. The whole point of Hamas is to kill Jews, and a veneer about Palestinian statehood.
Yes and male violence and lack of empathy in particular
Time to bail out of this thread.
Imagine the type of person one has to be to attempt to justify the acts of sheer brutality carried out by those animals last night.
The glee coming from certain posters at the taught of innocent men, women & children being gunned down by terrorists is absolutely sickening.
