There's always been outright hatred amongst Chechens for Putin since the Chechen war, and that goes also for Kadyrov for siding with Putin, he's considered a traitor, kept in power only with Putin's support. For sure, the Kadyrov clan is not the most popular clan in Chechnya. And even since the war, there have been Chechens on Russian wanted list, but having said that, its an especially easy list to get on. There's even a pic of a resurrected Prigozhin, complete with Jihadi wig and beard. We will have to wait a few days until things settle down a bit, to see what pans out. Personally, I think that Putin is behind it in one form or another.

but when you have a trans national group like isis where lots of actors know different things, and when the US also knows stuff and when so quickly it is now associated with islamists "the truth" is not controlled by Putin. Now, I worked with this girl for several years, and it would be hard to find a more level-headed intelligent person than her. Last person to be taken in with any kind of false propaganda in fact, right? Wrong, to her, Putin is every Russian womans dream man.
In fairness Russians have access to VPNs and social media like most other countries. They do have access to the wider content but no doubt are influenced to some degree by national propaganda.

Well she is either like those clips of cheering , smiling woman that were famously shown at the Hitler rallies and speeches in Germany or she is a russian woman trying to show a false face to a foreigner, like she is trying to save face by saying she is proud of putin because she knows he is a hate figure everywhere else
