Lets not forget the little matter also that the US still hasn't passed legislation banning Russia imports of Uranium.

In news just in... Ukraine lost US support back in October when MAGA took over Congress. If Ukraine had a good year in 2024 it would have been a massive help in re-electing Biden.
Hitting oil facilities would likely force Russia's hand in the long run but I don't see Ukraine holding out long enough for it to happen. As some of us forewarned early last year - a war time Russia is going to out produce a halfhearted western effort.
Europe has no choice but to step up if America rats on us.

The thing about the Russian oil refineries is that they are the property of Putin's Silovicki and Oligarchs, (with Putin getting his share of the profits) and he (Putin)has issued a warning to them, either you protect these installations, or they will revert back into state ownership. Now if there was ever cause for a bit of knife sharpening prior to a bit of back stabbing....this is it!!!

Haven't seen it. I can imagine. Murdoch used to own Sky News but he sold it to some really nasty greaseballs some years ago. From then on it went into the sewer.
Only reason i posted about this early AM today here was because the claim appeared as a headline in the FINANCIAL TIMES which would generally not be seen as a dodgy source
