A drone attack is the perfect way to kill Putin if the FSB grow tired of the old model and decide they'd like a different model.
Complete deniability as to who killed Putin.
Edit: He'd probably be misquoting catherine the great as a 2024 drone with chinese parts zeroed down on him.
more support for ukraine
Visegrád 24 on X: "BREAKING: Poland and Germany are creating an “international armored vehicle coalition” for Ukraine. The UK, Italy and Sweden have said that they will join it too Looks like Ukraine will get a new batch of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carrier 🇵🇱🇩🇪🇺🇦 https://t.co/md8lW1Ir8B" / X
Rumours on Reddit and Twitter, see how true it is, but the EU will switch to a military footing economy at the March 21-22nd conference.
This isn't just about getting supplies to Ukraine (part of it) but allow other EU States to joint purchase advanced weaponry.
Merry band of idiots, enjoying the benefits of a free and democratic society, but "Votes" for a bloodthirsty regime.
You really couldn't make this stuff up.
Morons.
One of the tamer drone attack clips. This time in the Kursk region of Russia.
@rogber .. if interested:
Myria Report has been going 24/7 since start of war in 22 and they are going to keep going until it ends. Very pro Ukraine. Fund raises lots for UKR also. It streams live over X exclusively
France have given some very helpful equipment but their support is still lacking according to this.
You obviously have not factored in the assistance Ireland is giving eg training re mine detection /neutralising, removal ; supply of non lethal equipment, cost of housing/ supporting UKr displacements, ETC. SURELY THESE ALL HAVE A VALUE IN THE GENERAL EFFORT OF UKr trying to eject the Russians from it’s country
I think if you swop Ireland and Ukraine, it's military equipment and munitions that we'd really want. You can see that from Ukr defence pov, Ireland is contributing zero, not pulling our weight at all. We are well in step with our Austro Hungarian friends in this regard. Look at the contributions from Norway, Sweden & Finland. Even Greece is helping out and Portugal, also far removed like us.
Its the Neutrality excuse for Ireland. As you said, right or wrong, Ukraine values support with military equipment and munitions far far more than non lethal etc. Ireland due to neutrality stance cannot supply OFFENSIVE military equipment and munitions. Not sure about DEFENSIVE equipment though, but that dont matter in this case because ireland pretty much has no defensive military equipment ( which by the way does not cross a line re neutrality. Even neutral countries have a duty to its citizens to defend there country and not let it to someone else. A duty Ireland falls down on miserably in my view ).
Just wondering if we did give all our artillery guns and ammunition how much would it be? How many guns and ammunition? Also if we did how much would it cost us to replace them? More would the government if we ever did do it which I know we won't, would they even bother to buy new artillery guns again with increasing defence budget or be like buy them out of existing yearly defence budget.
If Wikipedia is to be believed, we don't have much to give that military donations would amount to anything except a token gesture.
All I see there re. artillery & "big guns" are 105mm howitzers ... of which, when I follow the links, we apparently only have approximately 30 to give.
Ireland are doing what we can considering the pathetic state of our military. France has no excuse plus they're notes neutral country.
As regards housing Ukrainian's were not helping Ukraine when half these people will stay here permanently. The government is only delighted to increase the population.
Apparantly the LE Eithne is going for scrapping shortly. Could this have been donated to Ukraine? Would they have wanted it?
Wouldn't be allowed through the Bosphorus and a 40 year old obsolete fisheries protection vessel would only be a maritime grave for any sailors aboard.
And do what with it, except have it become an easy target for Russian naval forces & a quick way to kill approx. 90 Ukrainians?
I get folks here might want us to be more militarily pro-active in support of Ukraine, but there's really little we can do here & supplying them with the token bits n' bobs our army has to work with wouldn't provide anything tangible. We've housed their refugees and sent aid or support where we can.
The relative competency and equipment of our armed forces is a larger topic for sure, mind you.
So sweet f all to be fair. Don't get me wrong Ukraine would welcome them but the issue is more artillery ammunition for Ukraine is the major problem.
Straight out of Monty Python
Probably a few months or a year ago I'd have said that was nonsense. I'd have naively thought that Russia will eventually run out of lives and money to keep going.
But now, after the very aggressive talk coming out from Russia especially post-"election" I would think that the threat to Europe (not including Ukraine) is now high enough to justify this.
yup. officially now the dumbest nation in the world. that's if you can call it a 'nation'.
Now we know why!🤣
I strongly believe the world would be a better and more peaceful place if women were in charge. But then someone like Simonyan pops up to give me doubts. What a vile individual
Or indeed, the Christian Conservative wing of (Republican) American politics; and given the overlap with both ideologies ATM it's probably not a coincidence in both cases the women strike as dangerous as the men. Imagine Majorie Taylor-Greene as President for instance.
By and large I do think women leaders would make more rational and peaceful ones - it's us men who are the whirling emotional ones, not women - but it seems like the latter-day conservatives have swung into extremism such that even the women aren't necessarily the steady voices, but the Aunt Lydias.
Technology is moving fast
if i remember correctly at the start of the war cathal berry called on the government to donate 2,000 anti tank missiles we had in the curragh to the british (wink wink) which were nearing their use by date and slated for destruction. even if these 2,000 missiles only took out 200 armored vehicles they'd have made a valuable contribution in battle.
i don't know what happened to the missiles but i very much doubt they made their way over the border to aldergrove.
Seeing as he and his cronies love their authoritarian dictatorships so much they should go live there.
Meanwhile ..
Macron is prepared to send 2,000 troops to Ukraine. The start of many and other countries will join them i'm sure..
Would certainly be a milestone. Saw the 2000 number mentioned by TASS.
Source? Massively worrying escalation if true.
