Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
I passed there too, Around €150 for a standing ticket (€140+fees) had a look on 3 presale there, seats are more.
Best seating I can get for Stevie Nicks is block m...200 euro each....I will leave it, I could literally go to about 5 other decent gigs for that where I am not in nose bleed seats.
A Lazarus Soul supporting The The. Might go now, found them flat at Iveagh and also a little dull in their Albert Hall gig on Sky Arts last week so was going to skip it.
Leftfield playing national stadium in July as there summer show here
That seems to be becoming a more popular venue.
Not really, only about a show a month there.
Before the last few years it wasn't used much if at all for gigs
Megan thee stallion, 3arena 14th july
There seems to be a lot more big July gigs than usual or is it my imagination?
Your imagination. 3 shows in 3 arena, 3 in malahide and usual trinity/iveagh gardens/marlay park shows.
Euro tour festival season.
Nah July was pretty barren last year big gig wise ?
everything was crammed into June
Marlay, trinity and iveagh all had July shows. Malahide was only June last year but that cause Glastonbury was week earlier, which caused tours to move
Nah there were loads and all in the rain
Fair chance then of them doing Galway Arts Fest. At last a decent act if that’s the case.
I used to listen to a lot of Stevie Nicks and FMac back in the 80s and 90s.
Someone told me the other day she was playing ireland this summer, and since I know she's not getting any younger, was seriously thinking of trying for a ticket.
Heard the advert on the car radio today. From €138.50! Nearly put the car into the ditch. That's madness.
Don't think I'll bother now.
Ambitious for them if doing 1800 in Dublin. Big top is 3,500 cap
Dublin accustomed to such acts, far less so here thus the demand is pretty high. Caribou & Orbital had no hassle selling it out, Jon Hopkins close. Given other bookings it’d likely be scheduled for Fri 19 so better for people to travel. Very likely to fill the tent.
188 euro to sit in the back row of the venue, ludicrous.
It'll sell out in seconds though.
Why on earth is it so expensive ?
Won't be a big production like a U2
Only Stevie on the bill so far
Starting at €188 could be the new norm
Maybe it's the obvious answer... "because she can"?
End of the day she’s just another act at the end of her career looking for a nice payday
Cause Stevie wants a million a show or more. It’s not rocket size.
why does Chanel charge that much for bags
GREED.
Bon Jovi have announced a new album and anyone pre-ordering it through the official store will be sent out a presale code after the closing date (which isn't until June). The usual no purchase necessary option is also available. It states that it is a "UK and Ireland" tour but no indication of venues or dates,
His voice was shot to pieces last time at the RDS. Still a good show, but not what they used too be. That said, if it was indoors I'd be there like a shot

You could refuse to pay it, I suppose.
I think, on top of all other points made by other posters, there is an element that her target audience have the disposable income/can afford to pay this kind of money. Also people that don't attend too many concerts.
I really would love to see Stevie Nicks. But I discovered today that all the teenage girls I know who were off their faces at BLK on Sunday night are going (some have already got presale tickets!) because of something to do with Silver Springs on Tiktok?! Not an inviting prospect to pay €140 for.
