It seems if you want a show cancelled you get Paddy McGuiness to host it.
First Top Gear, now AQOS
It went to shite when it started including too many women's and niche sports questions.
Was stable viewing of a Friday before that.

They went from picking presenters, captains and guests who were well known, relatable, likeable, witty & reasonably funny…
to the modern box ticking diversity / inclusive craic. Sam Quek & Ugo Moyne who were about as funny as a fire in an orphanage.
Replacing Sue Barker and then getting that dreadful Sam Qurk in was the absolute death knell,
The diversity box-checking has ruined whatever interest these panel shows ever had to begin with. Virtually every "comedian" who appears on these shows is completely interchangable and forgettable, and their insights and "jokes" are all completely bland and safe. You don't need to be offensive to generate laughs, but at least try and have some kind of originality, personality or wit.
Great point - another programme that used to be so good and is now muck is The Last Leg; a few years ago it became a party political broadcast for Labour and so woke it ceased to be funny.
If the bible has thought us nothing else (and it hasn't)....its that girls should stick to girls sports, such as hot oil wrestling, foxy boxing and such and such......
Question of Sport was on its last legs anyway, not helped by moving it around the schedules, 11.30 on a Tuesday night, flick over to BBC and there it was. The following week, some other time.
They think its all over, was 10 times the show.
You were only seeing the repeat at that time on a Tuesday night. The episodes were originally shown on the previous Friday at 7.30 or 8.00.
I blame the change in personnel for it being axed.
What an apt name now...
Well, the Bible is a load of nonsense...
They are atrocious, just very cheap to produce. Cancelling would represent a mercy killing.
There's a rumour doing the rounds that Maya Jama, the host of Love Island, is being eyed as the next Bond girl. I wonder does someone at the top of ITV2 know/strongly suspect that the show is nearing the end?
Everybody is being considered for bond movies, all the time.
the way it works is a publicist says it and it ends up in the papers. So if you ever want to get your client back into the entertainment pages, just say they're being considered for a role in a bond movie.
….
Coronation Street seems to me to be a soap that has run its course.
There are rumours that the 24th season of Midsomer Murders might be the last.
The Meaning Of Life especially hosted by Joe Duffy ( was there really no better candidate)
It seems seems every uk actor who is under the age of 40 who is handsome and in a hit movie is being called considered for the next bond movie according to the tabloids .the BBC is considering cancelling alot of shows at the moment because of rising costs of production Dr who will continue as it is partly financed by Disney
Panel shows are cheap to make it's cheap to hire comedians and someone must be watching them .it seems rte won't make a drama nowadays unless it involves crime cops and a murder victim
I think Disney saved the show. The revival has been on air now longer (19 years) than it was cancelled (16 years). If it lasts another few years it will have run longer than the original, which ran for 23 years.
I think its now partly financed by disney and will be shown on the disney streaming app.BBC is cancelling shows that are expensive to make or get low ratings .it has a limited budget compared with netflix or large american media corporations.Dr who has millions of fans around the world and every few years a new doctor appears with a new companion . A comedian only gets a few hundred pounds for appearing as a guest on a panel show .
Is there anything on TV at this stage that hasn't run its course!
For those who missed it…
They're waiting for Ken Barlow to croak it.
William Roache's 92 now.
Oh no, we won't be able to sit on the cough and laugh at fat people now, and go for our annual walk around the park wearing a hiviz vest for no sensible reason.
and declared bankrupt earlier this year for the second time.… probably going to keep working until he can’t….
I’m reading he’s been in the soap since 1960, and for a good number of years making great money. Current salary rumoured to be north of £220,000 ….Must have a pretty ostentatious lifestyle if having worked pretty much non stop for 60+ years and ending up on that sort of cash he ends up bankrupt again.
looks great for 92.
Bake off is a great turn your brain off stuff like 4 in a bed. Come dine with me which was the same as the above is going bad
