Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Outside the Stags Head is a good spot for pre gig pint.
From experience, do you find three presales or artist presales to have better seats.
I've been less than amazed at what has been offered for the smile and muse for artist presales.
But want to hear on a larger scale. Perhaps it was only these acts that had bad allocation.
Really want to grab good seats for Nick Cave.
Artist presales will have more tickets available. So better chance of better tickets.
3 mobile pre sale is 10% usually across standing and seats
The 3+ presales are usually terrible seats in the point
I guess quality of seats is what I mean, i.e. C/D/E sections and proximity to stage.
I would stand but missus has a sore back
Artist presale will normally have the best seat selection.
havent been in a while but hoping its still open
met DMAs in there after their gig last year and Kasabian just outside it after theirs
are the Olympia bars card only ? cant remember myself?
Nope! They take cash too
Ye I'll pop down and see if its open tomorrow. Was at both those gigs and actually didn't go in there, went to murder capital recently and went to try it but was closed
thanks .
Wild duck is closed

Ive two spare standing for LG + JS tonight if anyone wants for face value
Enjoyed Liam and John tonight. Great atmosphere . Standing in the seated area sounded very good.
Jake buggs set was ruined by the audio . When he hit the high notes it would go through you it was not a not good sound . Did any1 else notice that
Jake sounded fine to me, didn’t notice anything wrong
Must have been in the circle some the lads beside me got it as well it was painfully at times tbh
Yeah, I thought something was a bit off. Pleasantly surprised by Gallagher and Squire. Sounded much better then the album. I was in the circle too. Happy everyone was standing
Really enjoyed the gig last night. Jake has some great songs.
The album LG JS album has really grown on me and I've enjoyed playing it loud.
Really enjoyed Squire's guitar work live and Liam was on good form.
I was at the back of the circle and JB was fine for me. Really enjoyed LG&JS.
I really enjoyed the gig. As expected, the songs are much better live.
Out of curiosity does anyone the reason the Olympia has the pit section? Is it just because the ground is sloped?
Smashing pumpkins death in 1997
Liam gave out to some lad near the end there needs to be some public order or something what happened
Yes the standing was a bonus .as sitting room isn't the best. Even met a Beady eye fan , there is one left.
It was really annoying about the sound on Jake though
Liam best bit of giving out has to be in Slane supporting REM in 1995. Lads were lobbing stuff up at him on stage, and he stopped mid song a number of times, he was properly pissed off and nearly walked. Still played an incredible set.
So impressed that, even with Oasis having blown the crowd away, REM came on and took it to another level, still ranks as the best stadium show I was ever at.
Tickets available for Elbow at Trinity College, 1 July. If the weather is nice, it'll be a wonderful gig.
Interesting, didn’t know that before. So it’s just precautionary and nothing to do with events in the Olympia?
Was giving out to some lad in the Stone Roses Man United shirt right in front of me
One them special edition ones ok must have been messing
