It seems the family excelled itself with their theatrical performances today. One member being carried out of the court twice, others hollering at the judge, and Enoch sent back to prison on the orders of the judge. One would only be short of having a squad of Roman soldiers carrying whips present as a backdrop for the family, make them feel at home.
Imagine telling a judge you basically want to go back to prison...just imagine that.

There was a case against one of the members of the panel for the school that was part of the dismissal appeal. I can't remember where that's at but I think that case is the one holding up the school appeal on his dismissal.
He wouldn't be given consent to judicial review, it's not automatic and based on how he'll be the cause of the appeal collapsing there will be no grounds

Still ongoing. AFAIK, last month [or the previous month] the school was discussing it's next legal moves relative to the arbitration hearing which Enoch & Co set out to disrupt with his B/S claims. His activities have succeeded in halting the arbitration proceedings leading to the conclusion of the dismissal proceedings.
Ditto. He’ll lose his appeal at the Appeals Board. Seek Judicial review of that decision. When that fails he’ll launch a case questioning the whole system of Judicial review.
The kids he was teaching will be old enough to get jobs in Wilson’s by the time he is done.
It's hard to keep track of them all but does anyone know what's happening with his appeals against the school for dismissing him? It was in January of last year that he was dismissed so it's really dragging now.
That family are a walking advert for forced sterilisation.

And he is back in court next month for his defamation hearing against the Irish Independent. This is the case resulting from the Indo's allegation that Burke had been moved to a new cell in Mountjoy because he was annoying other prisoners. Burke disputes this and claims that the Indo defamed him.

During what was at times a heated hearing on Friday, Mr Justice Mark Sanfey had offered to temporarily release Mr Burke from prison, in the hope the teacher would use the time the school was on holidays to reflect on his position.
OMFG. When someone slaps down an olive branch offered to leave jail, where does that then leave the state? We can just evict them from the country? Cos clearly these are martyrs all-in on their own hype; they can't be reached.
It's noteworthy how even the assorted few posters coming along to bat for them have disappeared.

I amended that post, the alleged assault happened on March 7th last year.
Though I do believe the case should be before the District Court in the near future. Watch this space!

The key word is "celebrating" here: the Burke Collective strike as the type of fundamentalists who'd find everyone else's cheer and festival atmosphere an affront to what they see as a serious day of worship.

Never one to miss a chance, the family was outside the 4 courts again having a go at Judge George Bermingham cos he didn't want to stop for a chat with Mama Burke on the weekend festival celebrating the arrival of christianity in Ireland.
Just imagine the court-room scene where the state produces rebuttal witnesses to Enoch's defamation case, in the form of the prisoners who requested his move on the grounds the state claimed: Enoch... I object to this hearing and the judge as neither I nor my family are allowed by the judge to cross-examine these witnesses and their statements for the truth.
They use the word Shame for everything, a family with a no sense of it shouting it at everyone for everything is quite ironic.
Asked by the judge to “please stop” as she did not have a right of audience before the court, Ms Burke continued asking the judge to "retract that offensive statement that it is ancient history".
The judge then told her the court would have to rise to have her removed if she did not stop and requested the registrar to call the next case.
Ms Burke continued to speak before she was again told by the judge the court would have to rise if she did stop. Ms Burke said the judge should be "ashamed of yourself, this case is all about his religious beliefs". She then left the courtroom.
And remember this is Ammi Burke, qualified solicitor: she knows full fúcking well how she's expected to behave in court - and chooses not to because it suits their sense of martyrdom. This family's singular and continuous inability to respect our legal system's rules of behaviour doesn't suggest this latest hearing is gonna go any better; or indeed that they'll accept any judgement that decides there was no defamation.
I wonder if any of the Burkes have registered or looked at Boards to see how the public has reacted to their crusade: do you think they've read this thread? Hi guys ... just so you know, God doesn't appreciate this nonsense and he did specifically send his son down to tell you all to love everyone & chill out. Just a thought like.
Well given that it will be a bench trial and part of his argument is going to be that a judge lied..... I then we can make an educated guess how it is going to pan out, that is if the rest of his family don't raise hell in court and it heads off down some rabbit hole.
