There's more people live in Bangladesh than live in Russia.
There's more people live in France and Germany than live in Russia.
European Union has 448 million people. Russia 144 million.
russia losses are currently at 983 men a day, that’s the highest since the war began. Seems like russia is going all out, I have heard that they can maintain this pace for another 6 months but who knows. A Biden win and the French marching on moscow would be nice.
America is getting prickly with Iran
Very little the US can do about that. Sure they done feic all when North Korea supplied Russia with them.
But of course if the US gave standard ATACMS or JASSM's etc... that would be an escalation 🤷🏻♂️
Nobody wants to march on Moscow this isn't 1812. Putin and his murderous buddies will be crushed and humiliated just like hitler but without as much bloodshed.
He probably has some sort of insurance policies that if he goes, the families of any would be plotter will suffer too. The only ones that might make a move against him are people within the FSB, but they do well from his rule. The only way this calculation may change is if Ukranian Intelligence were able to get at them, then someone might think that being close to Putin was bad for their health and be tempted to do something. I wonder do people at Langley ever probe for any cracks in his regime? Perhaps they are afraid of civil war breaking out in Russia so are not inclined to do so.
Yes but if they make a threat and then do nothing they will look stupid. They mean it.
Based on what we know about the DDR, which was a mini-ussr and whose entire security apparatus was exposed to the world as the amateur, ridiculous, incompetent, bungling, overindulged omnishambles pile of dogshite that it was after German reunification, with its economy-annihilating wastefulness and constructed in the mirror image of the cheka/nkvd/kgb, of which Pickpocket Urchin vladimir was a boastful member, the russian federation operates a "National Front" model, where a certain percentage of kgb stooges pretend to represent independent parties in a crude, unsophisticated farce, playacting at democracy.
In the DDR people voted for the list of representatives presented to them, with the allocated percentage of "alternative" voices, such as the "Conservatives" and the "Liberals". Any attempt to alter the presented ballot would most definitely result in very serious problems further down the road, as the ballot box proceedings were closely observed by "undercover" Stasi agents and their vast army of informants.
Exactly how putin operates is available for full scrutiny in the former offices of the DDR regime in Berlin, some of which are open to the public as museums which exemplify the occupation that russian-run Germany was.
Smart from an Iranian tactical standpoint. Means to test your equipment against a range of contemporary Western air defence systems and older Soviet models. Imagine they already have some data from the Houthis lobbing some of their designed missiles at warships and Southern Israel.
I'm sure they said the same about North Korean missiles and done nothing. There's a UNSC resolution banning NK exporting missiles and artillery.
They breaches that without any blowback, hard to imagine the US doing anything other than condemn Iran.
remember the bomb attack on odessa while the greek premier was meeting up with the ukrainian president, well there has been blowback

the european commission has put their money where their mouth is

the eu are giving further funding
FT: EU nears deal on adding $5.5 billion to defense fund for Ukraine
Does anyone here actually trust Le Pen? She'll change her tune once she's in power.
She's Putin's Donald Trump in France. She was getting funding from russia.
These Putin puppets keep popping up like whack a mole.
Is anyone calling the election fair and legal? Russia can "elect" their president however they want, so I guess you could say it's legal, but no-one in the west thinks there's anything fair about it. Or anything resembling an eletion.
Russia using democracy is gaslighting us at its finest
She dropped Frexit quick enough after Britain's own economic Seppuku took place post Brexit; she's a horrid bigot but she may also be a total pragmatist when the rubber hits the road;
Imagine she would be closer to Meloni in practice. For all her faults, the women has a brain and quite a bit of shrewdness.
Or it may be a part of the overall picture of the Russo-French relations nosediving at the rate of knots recently; I’m not any more given to conspiracy theories than your average person but surely there is a piece of puzzle there that we don’t know about. The situation now can be explained by many things, uppermost of which is or should be simply the strong support for a European country under foreign invasion - but in that case it took a bit too long to get everyone there, for that to be entirely credible.
Another two hit last night. Apparently russia has 33 ( 44 in total) refineries that are responsible for the bulk of their industry. A month more of these constant attacks and the country could be in serious trouble.
Given the size of oil refineries, which are deliberately spread over a vast area out to reduce any fire spreading, unless Ukraine get very lucky and hit vital equipment ie the distillation tower, these attacks are not going to suddenly stop oil production. It will be a drip drip effect, creating challenges and dilemmas, adding to Russian cost. Maybe a small percent reduction in flow but don’t expect the taps to suddenly turn off.
From what I have read they have been successful in hitting essential equipment, distillation/ cracking towers. These were made many years ago with western assistant. It is complex equipment/ systems that cannot easily be replaced. The situation is made even worse by western sanctions. Once parts of their oil infrastructure starts getting shut down it can be very difficult to restart. Oil is putin lifeblood, it provides money for the war machine and pays for loyalty for those around him. If these attacks continue at this pace there will be an oil shortage very quickly in russia.
This seems to be different. They did not make an unambiguous public statement about N. Korea. This time the made it clear they will respond.

To con-spire means to 'breathe together'. Just sayin...
Lads are still at it lol
Hey! You calling me a cow? 😡😄😄
Ruzkies will be the villain in any movie after this foray into Ukraine. Also, Putzer has managed to create a natural border of hate towards all orcs stretching from the Baltics to the Mediterranean.
And meanwhile, some things never change...
Meanwhile back in the wonderful world of Russian Submarines.. when attempting to fire a missile
