It seems it's more serious than the Radio Kerry news, but their news is minimal at the best of times.
Woman (20s) hospitalised after alleged stabbing and sexual assault in Kerry | Irish Independent
Life threatening according to the rte news at lunch time today
I do know, the money mules and the Kerry meth money laundering aren't connected!
The money mules are recruited by the black Axe gang a criminal organisation formed in West Africa in the mid-1970s that is now operating worldwide.
Woman (20s) hospitalised after alleged stabbing and sexual assault in Kerry
It was a random attack as victim was not known to the attacker. That makes it even more horrifying! Hopefully she is recovering well.
Who was the poor woman that passed away after collapsing in town last week?

The guy (from Cork) who was arrested for 'allegedly' stabbing that lady was only released from prison 2 weeks ago, for a similar assault!
I was just in ballyseedy for a nose.
Restaurant opened today. It's only a quarter full. Normally it's buzzing at lunchtime.
One of the staff told me a lot had left.
are the concession stores still there?
Yes. Was talking to one of the staff in one of them who had filled me in. My wife knew her. I knew when I got to the car park that it would be empty inside.
Even the stock in the cafe wasn't what it used to be.
Any change in the menu there? Or the prices lol, I said after my last trip paying 3.50 for a scone I wasn't paying that again, just that tad too much!
Didn't look at the menu too closely. 7.95 for soup and bread on the top line as I walked in. That was the same as ballygarry where we had just had dinner. Saw the soup price and we just had a main course which was 24e for fish , chips and mushy peas. Good job our anniversary only happens once a year😁
Another place I have stopped going as it's too expensive for mundane, fish and chips is hardly worthy of that price. I know places have awful high costs these days, electricity, staff etc, I do understand that as I come from a catering background but there comes a time when it's no longer value for money to me to pay those prices. That said I paid 30 few weeks ago for main course in The Tankyard, a lovely seafood mornay, I'd rather pay the extra fiver and get something that I won't make at home in general, lovely selection of fish and shellfish in it that I wouldn't normally be buying.
Our anniversary is also today and I took my wife to Lidl, the honeymoon is long over. 😛
Flashback from John doyle on twitter!
What's the significance of that now? 🤔
They're called no context flashbacks, apparently he's the attacker of the woman the other day!
If he was sentenced to three years with the final six months suspended back in November 2023, it seems strange he's out six months later unless he spent a long time in custody before the court case. 🤔
August 9, 2022 since arrested so 19 months done if in custody since arrest, with remission 4 years sentence should be 27 months.
Think I read he was on 23 hour lock up so could be why they took another 8 months off.
Ive never seen John doyle to be wrong or mistaken 😁
It was probably the feckers who let him out who were wrong or mistaken, and the poor woman paid the price.
32 years old so rules out above man mentioned. Can’t be name for legal reasons
Why can't he be named?
I think it is to protect the identity of the person who was attacked.
They can give up annominity so that the attacker can be named.
But also, the arrested person is not guilty yet
Hope he does not get out on bail and prove a risk to the population again ... what is happening to my country?
I am sad that this is this is what my kids/ grand-kids will have to live thru in the coming years.
Would prefer to go back to 1970's Ireland despite the Church control.....
What a mess......
Just talking to a few female friends ,they just would not chance walking in a share of the lanes off the main streets in Tralee in broad daylight ,it seems drug use /sale is prominant in these areas ,is Tralee turning into a slum town
Ah it was far better when assaults went on behind closed doors and we never heard about them.
Exactly 110%!
Agreed. Some of those lanes surrounding the multi storey carpark are always deserted and give off an intimidating vibe. I walked down that pedestrian Market Street lane that leads out to Rock Street the other week for the first time in years and the ground floor windows were smashed on one of the residential units. The shops there mostly seemed either empty or closed. I don't think it ever took off as a successful shopping street.
Lovely parade in town today, and great weather! Good atmosphere! Happy St. Patrick's day!
