Morning, I can't seem to see a schedule for what days etc for this new service. Anyone?
Thank you
Daily from tomorrow. This is the NY-Dublin flight: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/b6841
DUB- JFK, B6-842, 1045-1322.
JFK-DUB, B6-841, 2047-0900.
Thanks for replies. Booked their Mint service to JFK next weekend. Anyone know which lounge in T2?
Jetblue isn't known for having lounges anywhere
What's the attraction? Are they good price wise?
Its a narrow body service so wouldn't be running out to book them myself
The business class Mint service is wow! Check it out on YouTube
Cheers, I'll use AL one so.
Well it should be known for having one in JFK. I used it several times before.
Really? Maybe I’m stupid but as a fairly regular B6 flier I’ve never been advised of or found a lounge. Where is it in JFK?
Can't remember the location but it was in a different arm of the JFK terminal which EI used until last year (bit of a hike to the EI gates). Wasn't heavily branded IIRC so may have been available to use for EI/JB.
What does B6 mean? Thanks
"B6" is the two-character IATA airline identifier for JetBlue, prefixes the public-facing flight numbers. Their three-character ICAO identifier is "JBU"
Anyone know what the loads were like?
How much would their base fare return to new york be typically and how much would the mint be?
It’s not a lounge as such, at least not anymore since they don’t serve food, it’s a chill out roof top area open to all passengers at no cost but branded as a jet blue lounge / chill out area. At this point jet blue don’t have typical lounges but it’s in their plans.
you might already know but lounges in the us are much more restricted than other countries for domestic flights, flying their “1st class” (aka business) alone is not enough to get in, they are usually restricted to status (harder to achieve) and international business class hence not typically advised during check in even if flying “1st class”
I think the big attraction is the fact that they (may) lead to EI upping their game a bit.
Jetblue's service is about as good as it gets for an airline not headquartered in Asia or the Middle East.
This review is for their A321LR service JFK- Heathrow;
https://onemileatatime.com/reviews/jetblue-mint-suite-a321lr/
The DUB-JFK routes uses an A321neo in their domestic cabin config (16/143) so not as swanky up the front. The 16 seats in Mint are very similar to Aer Lingus's A321LRs.
Their A321LR has a 24/114 cabin config.
Review on the inaugural flight;

Honestly, this reads like something put together by Jetblue's marketing department.
I wouldn't mind reading a review that talks about the experience from the perspective of someone who wasn't offered a complimentary ticket...
Indeed. I didnt read it till about 30 mins after posting it. Almost as if the writer isnt too au fait with airlines.
The review of JFK-LHR before that was a lot more detailed about the actual product.
A quick look at DUB-JFK 02/05/24-05/05/24 with both B6 and EI with a bag etc.
EI is about ONE EURO cheaper at €624
Definitely no collusion on pricing there. Definitely not.
Your own cabin door is certainly swankier than AL business to JFK. I will take some pics when I use it this weekend and update this thread next week. This is the A321neo on the Paris route last December https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoHZzZaQYQ0
Are we back to the boom era of going to NYC for the weekend? :D
Boom has been back a while anecdotally going by my Instagram and visits to NYC (I'm living over in the US), last Christmas the place was jammed with Irish people.
That's very odd because it's the one thing they say on social media they are working on is possible lounge services. They don't have one.
Dub to JFK return in may same dates on both EI and B6 in EI business and B6 mint.
EI: 2294.99euro. B6: $3202.80 CONVERTED AT TODAYS RATE (2960.34euro)
The beauty of jet Blue is the integrated onward connection to many smaller airports.
And with preclearance, this is targeting people in UK too.
That’s some difference, wonder what they are thinking with those prices as they don’t seem competitive - unless, of course, there’s only a couple of seats left at that price and they can charge whatever they want!
Would EI have the better product in this scenario? Seats are similar, IFE and wifi are similar but I’d argue EI food and service is better and EI have lounges. Can’t see a loyal EI customer jumping over to B6 neither can I see a price conscious customer going with B6.
They codeshare with Aer Lingus so it’s all the same. You travel out on an Aer Lingus flight and transfer into the JetBlue for the domestic element.
