Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
its disclosed in ticketmaster t&c’s that transfer not guaranteed for any event.
For some tickets you had to buy a ticket and album bundle, they aren’t talking about presale codes
Please stay out of this when you havent a clue what you are talking about, Ive just about had enough of your shilling for Ticketmaster.
post i replied to said they also needed the album for presale
We have had this discussion before there is no legislation in ireland that makes it illegal to no offer transfer of tickets.
you have never been able to point to legislation when making this statement before.
I don’t like ticketmaster, but saying something is illegal when it’s not is just plain nonsense.
Oh no.. !
Its covered under EU law, I explained this to you before.
Ye I copped that after but still had two buy album regardless to get standing tickets which was bad form
A company can t&c what they like it won't be trumping consumer rights.
You attempted to, but it’s not actually covered by EU law.
If you're selling / giving to someone you know you'd just login to your ticketmaster account on their phone and add to their Google/Apple wallet. Handy enough. Obviously won't work if you are selling to a randomer.
**wrong discussion**
ok I thought Shakin Stevens was after announcing a gig there for a minute
No danger of that! He ended up in court on assult charges after his 2008 Irish tour and hasn't been back since! You'll be waiting a while...
Scarily there's a Shakin Stevens tribute playing in the north later in the year!
i didnt realise that , he had some good songs back in the day . i think i seen he was tiouring the uk in the last few years somewhere .
Last UK tour was about a year before the whole covid thing! I think it was around 30 dates and actually his biggest tour ever! There's been talk of a tour to support his most recent album but that came out almost a year ago so I can't see that happening as I think he has a few health issues.
Was at a band in vicar street tonight. Diiv. I knew nothing about them. But worth checking out. It was really good. Vibes of my bloody valentine. Mixed with mogwai type of guitar work.
Yeah enjoyed that. It's a blender of most things I like about 90s indie rock, even when the songs don't hit they still sound great.
Loved the visual aspect to the show too.
Oh, forgot this was coming up & would have liked to have gone. However, live in Donegal, so lot of hassle to go down.
Yes, heard some of their stuff, and seems to fit the broader shoegaze church.
Diiv were alright, better than i expected. Thankfully picked up a cheap ticket as i certainly wasn't paying €38 for them. Not sure i'd bother going to see them again though. At the end of the day it's just a diluted version of bands i saw and loved in the 90s. Grand, but lacking.
Nick cave & bad seeds with Black Country new road on support in 3 arena
Beautiful
Delighted with that
Was raging when they didn't reschedule the Ghosteen tour date in the 3 Arena and played ATN
Is the wild duck bar next to olympia permanently closed down? Hasn't been open past few times I had a look before gigs, doesn't seem to be anything online about it being permanently closed....used to like it before olmypia gigs
Nice
Just checked, album not out until the end of August, boooo! Lead single is very nice
Great support too
Here you go: https://www.foggynotions.ie/concerts/concert/russian-circles-button-factory-dublin-2024 €33 all in.
Or the price of 15 minutes of Liam G/squire in the Olympia as a new measurement metric
Is that the one with the entry in the alley beside the Olympia? Was closed the last time I was there as well, was quite a handy spot to go to.
Yep that's the one, they haven't posted on Instagram in quite a while so assume they are closed. Will have another gander tomorrow before liam but I was always enjoyed it before gigs for a few pints
Brogans always good before the Olympia. Never seems to get too rammed either.
