Full album and one cover tonight at barras for liam and squire. Very poor for the tickets price.....one or two more covers and I'd have been happy

Did Liam say before they went on sale that it’s strictly the album and an odd cover?
seeing a bunch of tweets moaning that it was only 55 minutes. They were hardly going to do oasis or stone roses material.
Jumpin Jack Flash - beady Eye played Gimme Shelter in the Olympia in 2013 so another stones cover .
another one or 2 would be better but the moneys gettting split
Album plus a couple of covers was Said in interviews on radio x. Assumed 2 to 3 but was probably wishful thinking.....215 for 2 tickets plus CD which was basically forced to get standing leaves a bit of a sour taste. That being said had there been no mention of covers being played I wouldn't be moaning I suppose. Was praying for gimme shelter. I was happy they weren't doing oasis/roses.....don't know why people were annoyed about that
55 minutes is brutal for the price
The point about money being split makes sense.....they just dropped the ball on pricing with this one clearly....should have seen the backlash coming
Suppose it's only a small 'club' tour with Liam warming up for the summer. Does John have a solo musical project ?
Ed Sheeran done a similar tour a few years back before a spring/summer stadium tour. The Vicar Street show was great doing about 2 hours for €60 or there abouts can't remember
how many times are you gonna see Liam in such a venue again ? Not many

I was very close to getting a ticket for that when they went on sale. Was like 4pm randomly announced.....not his biggest fan but was deadly doing vicar st before croker
Just regarding the money being split....you mean between liam and squire obviously, but also money going towards the writers of the covers explaining why they only did 1?@Nowso
Yes Gallagher and Squire , Plus there band etc theres a small capacity to pay for everything ,

To say it caught people off guard is an understatement
It was great and seeing a top star in such a small venue is great. Will be the same for everyone going to Liam and John Saturday
55 mins is a fairly short set in fairness especially relative to the price of tickets.
Ed sheeran played whelans and vicar in the days before Croke Park, they were done as marketing exercise to sell croke park tickets.
obviously Liam and John could of treated these shows the same and charge a much lower price/lose money on the shows as both multi millionaires at this stage and Liam making a few million this year on the DM anniversary tour.
i dont think its just them . costs for everything is up . its a hardcore upclose gig and for that i dont mind the price

I am the ressurection the 7 Minute version was always played before Liams concerts . but i dont remember any of them performing any of them
Ah yeah even “normal” Olympia can be in €40 range now and you have to factor in the Liam probably doesn’t do cheap whilst on tour, between paying crew, accommodation and transport.
They could easily have charged a lot less for these gigs and still made money, as many many bands do. No excusing playing for that short length of time for that price. I wasn't expecting them to do a Springsteen either, but to not even go over an hour is pathetic.
the pixies were charged a lot for Doolittle tour in olympia and barely did an hour.
it’s a never to be repeated show in such a small venue and Liam had told people in advance of tickets going on sale what it would be.
people made an informed decision to buy or not. It’s not like it was advertised as standard Liam g show
2 more covers and I think everyone would be happy. I was looking more forward to the covers (I took from the radio X interview it was the album plus some coverS....)
But look, had you said to me a few months ago you can see liam and squire perform in the olympia for 100 cuid I'd have bit your hand off
at one stage in the past - Liam was told to only do an hour by doctors . its a comeback after big operations aswell . it is what it was advertised as . if your not happy put your tickets up for resale
How much did Pixies charge?
When you charge €90 a ticket (which is their right) that comes with certain expectations and I don’t think 55 mins meets that.
€60 ish back in 2009 so not too far off €90 in todays money.
again they only have one album together and they mentioned in interviews that people would be getting album and the odd cover.
Jake Bugg was a far bigger support act that you would ever normally get on an olympia show.
Just as excited about seeing Jake Bugg! Look, I'm not expecting it to be unreal but be great to see two legends in such a small arena
55 minutes for that price is insulting. Glad I didn't bother. I've seen artists tour one album before and pad out a live show with extra stuff to lengthen the show. To claim that that was all two tenured musicians could put out or that gig-goers knew what they were getting is utter BS.
