It's interesting that they were so quiet prior, only to be broadcasting now.
I heard on RTE just now that Chambers had actually been out campaigning for a yes.
Seems some party members are scratching their brains.
I just checked The Journal
And now the shinners are disagreeing with MLMcD

I somehow feel we ain’t going to hear the end of this circus yet.
All that's happening now is politicians backtracking trying to distant themselves from the result to show they are not out of touch. There's an election looming - don't expect them to come out swinging against the electorate. They are just filling the news cycle with bullshit hoping it will distract voters come election time.
Not out of touch? The coalition parties are so out of touch it’s frightening.
I’ve just watched ‘Upfront with Katie Hannon’ & it was mentioned that ROG was unavailable. It was highlighted that not one government TD was in Dublin Castle for the referendum results. Billy Kelleher was the government representative on the tv & he came across to me as if would rather be anywhere but in front of the tv cameras.
Aside from this coalition not having a clue as to the depth of feeling over these referenda results, their contempt for the people is blindingly obvious ( to me ).
they are also drunk with power. especially o’gorman.
And when Katie hannon said O’Gorman was unavailable the audience laughed.tells a lot
Sure does.
Be very interesting to see who will be on The Gathering on Friday morning.
Alison O’Connor surly if she’s gotten over her sulking at the stupid voters😁
Jaysus No. It will take her at least 3 months.
It's gas to see govt TDs say they canvassed for Yes-Yes and then voted No. Niamh Smyth is another one.
They need to think about how Yes voters see this. It's quite insulting.
Personally I’d like Fionnan Sheehan to be on it. He calls a spade a spade.
not sure though if He is featured on The Gathering.
The only thing then boyos come up with is how to get more of your hard earned cash. Environment my hole.
Heard today Éamon Ó’Cúiv also voted no no.
I suspect MM is really losing control.
I think MM has more support from Fine Gael than he does in his own party. Cowen certainly waiting for his opportunity to settle the score with him.
More on the no no’s.
i wonder do politicians take us mere mortals for complete gobsh1tes? They will say anything to stay in power.
Meanwhile the bould Leo is not the no voter FG’ers mammy🙄🙄

Agreed. I wonder is that why MM gas put Cowen up for nomination for the European Elections?
catherine martin spent 6 weeks touring America in an RV last summer ( or maybe summer before, cant remember exactly) with her family. What an absolute clown.
She has more trouble now:

You'd think they would have to brains to keep schtum. They had ample opportunity to voice their opposition to the amendments prior to the vote. It's admitting cowardice. 'I never agreed with the amendments, but was too afraid of the party whip to voice my opposition'. Or 'I drank the party cool aid and am doing a u-turn now so I don't lose my seat in 2025'.
There's an old saying for this 'better to be thought a fool, than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt'.
The bould Leo doesn't have a great grasp of irony either. Making a statement alluding to the word 'mammy' after campaigning for an amendment to remove the role of mothers from the constitution. Jesus he is the master of the faux pas.
At least the FF TD's and senators turned up to vote even if it was to vote against the amendments. 2 FG senators went to London for the match instead of voting.
100% this.
If they had actually felt strongly on the no/no issue then they would have voiced that before the referendum.
Saying nothing before it, and only now coming out against it, is worse than saying nothing. It shows they were either cowards before the referendum, or else are opportunists now trying to put themselves on the right side of public opinion. Neither is good.
Or a closed mouth catches no flies.
Why?
I expect this was a personal holiday?
Isn't it awful shallow and cowardly even for FF politicians? Pure gombeenism. The whip must be losing her mind. The optics are terrible.
Complete mé féinism. Both known to have actively campaigned for a Yes Yes vote, and now that shows them to be out of touch with the electorate, they do a u-turn. We won't have to worry much about either after the next GE anyway. Both just committed political suicide.
This is also quite ridiculous. FG senators claiming they couldn't stay in Ireland to vote because they were going to the rugby, when there are 40 odd flights a day to London from Dublin, and the match kicked off at 5pm on Saturday.
There was absolutely nothing stopping them from voting when polls opened on Friday at 7am and then flying out on any of the dozens of flights on Friday after that, or even one of the many on Saturday morning.
If our senators can't be bothered to spend 40euro on a new Ryanair flight to allow them to vote on changes to our constitution what does that say about their committment to our democracy?
Why. ?
She’s part of the loony left Green Party who lambaste Irish petrol & diesel car drivers. American RV that she spent her U.S holiday is between 6.8 - 7.8 litre PETROL engine.
You see the irony here ?
Oops my bad again, sorry for posting.
How was she supposed to travel around the US? what locations was she visting?
How do you know what size engine it was?
Was it the most environmentally efficient for the trip she was doing?
The big question here is why are you tracking what a TD is doing on her personal holidays and then splashing it around on the web?
Some people really are obsessed and then call others "looney"
