Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Standing was lot busier than I expected considering there were still ticks available the day before
Maybe it's just me but I thought it was fuller than previous sold out shows I'd been to for standing (apart from Kendrick Lamar which was crazy packed due to the size of extra stage)
EP 2022 including a surprise set at the Salty Dog. A big leap up from that to the 3Arena. Am surprised they’re not doing a couple of nights at Vicar St. though they’re another band with large streaming figures (7m per month).
Soz. Repeat post.
The Black Keys playing 3 Arena on the 3rd of May
Just heard that. Saw them in the Point in 2012, one of the best gigs I've been to so would be very tempted by this
Ah no! Going to see the sprints sane night!
Joe Jackson playing the 3Olympia on 21 October
Solo set plus "The Music of Max Champion with a Nine Piece Band"
Tickets on sale next Friday (Three presale Wednesday)
Lloyd Cole playing near Carna in Connemara in early Sept.
------
Wow
Yeah, looks like the same show he had in the Olympia a few months back. Quite the coup.
How am I going to wrangle a night out in carna in September when the better half is back at work teaching??
The locals might tell you its Kilkieran, not Carna! The pub has had a few good acts and some others yet to play.
It's a cool idea, and I wonder if it's a model you might see other pubs take up? The owner is a big music head, but it must be a expensive thing to put on for a small number of people
That’s why I said ‘near Carna’ as I just don’t know Kilkieran at all, think it’s about 8/9 mins away. I’ll consider myself corrrected. 😀
It’s a great idea. Campbell’s Tavern out Headford way have been doing that for years and get a huge number of impressive artists, national and international. Tickets are €40 and how many would they fit in, 200? I guess the owner isn’t aiming to make big cash but just happy to break even to get him there. Not sure how much Cole would charge but would he settle for €5/€6k for a solo show, or am I being naive? He could add on dates in Galway and Campbell’s to make it worth his while. Hope I can make it, could be a great night.
Website says limited to 60 tickets.
Wow, that’s tiny. Even with the owner, family and some pals promised tickets that’s not going above 100 people. That’ll be class. Very tempted but it means missing Ride in the Olympia.
Biffy Clyro are in the midst of teasing something about at least 1st two albums, rumour has it Infinity Land will be included. It better be for a tour, even better if it hits Ireland cos that would be insane. A night in the Olympia of those songs would be outrageous
Unsurprisingly it's sold out. That will be a very unique gig.

Noah kahan & Maisie peters playing Belfast whilst over for EP
Do we think usher will be coming to Dublin?
Yeah, yeah!
Yeah!
Has he been announced for EP?
Extra date added for Cass McCombs & Steve Gunn.
Grand Social Monday April 29th. Still tickets available for Sunday 28th.
Signup page for Coldplay Infinity tickets, they sell them only in pairs & €20 each, bear in mind it is a lucky dip, so could be standing or seated, they should be selling them in the coming weeks.

Hopefully touts don't get any and resell them. The way it's randomly allocated should prevent it happening to a large scale hopefully.
Its day of gig, ticket pickup, so they have thought it through tbf.
Biffy Clyro playing first 3 albums over three nights in both O2 Shepards bush and the barrowlands. October dates. Tickets presale tomorrow.
