Yeah it's all just speculation. Its excellent content regardless. Maybe some day there will be a reveal. A special episode perhaps...
The Kencision:
I’m not sure what another screenshot of anonymous Reddit posts from 10 years ago is meant to add? I’d say if you told half the listeners that Ken was a fan of their biggest rivals a good chunk of them would believe you. That’s what makes him good, you could talk people into believing he supports anyone.
And that ain't nothin to do with Copenhagen.
I doubt it.
His numbers weren't exactly spectacular.
You have to keep in mind some of it is a performance too, hes far more positive about Arsenal on Arsecast than he is on Second Captains for example. You have to play to the audience somewhat and the bulk of Irish fans support either United or Liverpool
Arsenal is the third biggest EPL club for Irish support by a mile so that’s a bad one to pick out.
I highly doubt there’s any playing to the audience going on besides Ken being a natural shitstirrer.
Also there’s a Nunezcast coming tomorrow
I like that they are doing a film review show, would actually pay double the monthly fee if they got Ken to review Some Kind Of Monster.
Agree. Given how Wicklow are doing we might see Oisin back before too long!
Eoin mentioning pedants corner, then immediately saying Iron Claw was WCW wrestling instead of WCCW was sure to get the emails firing. I wouldn't know, not being a pedant myself.
Saw the movie last night. It's excellent.
I know it's a jokey thing, but Scotland's sh1teness is beginning to offend me.
Simon Hick, Ruairi O Connor , Gerry Thornley, Shane Horgan et al.
Have some of that, you insufferable, supercilious planks.
Murph was right though.
The way they were talking during the preview, they made it sound like we just needed to turn up
Losing by a point away, keeping Stone Age Steve Borthwick in a job and winning the title next week, I’d call that a job well done by us. Sets up the Easterby Interregnum with England and France at home next year perfectly.
Let’s hear the inevitable Gezza and Shaggy frothing about disaster on Monday, though.
100% agree. Losing out on the grandslam is a job well done as it sets us up next year for... a grandslam
Yeah, enjoyed it a lot. Zac Efron was very good in it.
I found the follow up to the Sean Brown thing a heavy listen for a Friday afternoon.
On the flipside, I think Gavin Cooney and Dion Fanning are a great double act when they have them on.
Murph bang on about the Irish rugby media. Total sickophants. Eoin included.
It's class. Zac Efron is superb in it
Miguel gives the CL the last rites and it proceeds to throw up probably the strongest set of quarter-finalists in years.
Thanks for your consistency big D.
I mean, apart from Arsenal isn't it just the same teams it always is?
I mean, no?
I guess I can see your point but with no Liverpool, very dodgy Bayern and Barca teams and a PSG with an mbappe who is half way out the door and not a lot of other stars, I think entertainment might be at a premium
Yeah, the names are more impressive than the actual teams.
More grim nordie stuff today - an interview with one of Davy Tweed’s victims
Just what you want on a miserable Wednesday afternoon to lift the spirits on the commute home, a child abuse pod. Only thing worse would be hearing that poxy 'Where is George Gibney?' piano intro!
Yeah, do Second Captains need to be doing this stuff which is covered elsewhere in other media, or am I in a minority on this in a big way?
I often tune in hoping for a bit of a laugh but 2 of these pods in 5 days is a bit much for me. Obviously I don't have to listen, but it's not why I subscribe either.
Needs to be more of Ken covering the movies and less misery casts
Was the movie one any good? They lost me about 15 mins in with the detailed but loosely plot explaining.
When you've got an unfamiliar story, lots of characters and lots of detail then I think you need to he quite slick about bringing your audience along. It's alright to have interruptions and corrections in the opinion part of the chat but you need to know your audience has to catch up on what's going on, be clear and concise.
I definitely didn't get much out of the pod today, listened to it all. I'm alright with the last two episodes being on a Friday but I'd prefer more sport chat Mon-Thurs.
