E Sim for USA

I'm travelling to the US for 10 days and I think using an e sim will be the cheapest option for data. Does anyone have a recommendation of one for US travel? I can see a few different options online but if anyone has any experience using these that would be great 😁

Apols for the stupid Q - assume if I get a TMobile sim, pop it in my dual sim phone I can get unlimited data on my Irish number with it? Ire assign the data part to my Whatsapp etc?

I actually bought a physical T-Mobile SIM on Amazon for travelling to NY (Nov 22) and had no issues with it. Cost around €30 IIRC

In ‘global’ countries such as the US, Australia, Asia and South America, it costs from €4 for 1GB to €38.50 for 20GB, with a range of price tiers in between.

By comparison, Eir’s GoMoWorld eSim app costs €20 for 15GB in the US and €20 for 20GB in Australia, with other non-EU countries similarly less expensive.

Thank you all! I ended up using Airalo. It was easy to set up and worked perfectly fine for the time I was there. It was handy to have the option to add on extra data if I had needed it also. I'll definitely use it again 😎

I used Holafly. Got 5 days unlimited for €20. Worked perfectly. Bought a second for my friend but she has an old iPhone so no eSim (will sell it to anyone who wants it for €5!). Make sure your phone is compatible.

I used Airalo. It worked fine. I had an extra €50 or so on my bill alright, but I think it was because I allowed someone else to use my phone as a hotspot for a while.

Same here. Bit of a faff to get up and running if I remember correctly. Deactivating data on my main sim, tweaking other settings and several restarts before it started working properly but after that it was solid for the week I was in the states. Very cheap too so it wasn't the end of the world if it didn't work
