They may just get a replacement bumper for you.
Ask them can you collect while the new part is in transit of your really need the car.
Can they come to you for something like replacing a bumper though or would it mean a trip back up to Dublin to be fixed. Not ideal if it requires going back up to the Dublin.
Got my collection time for Monday.
Guys on the preconditioning of the battery if I set the location to supercharger in Sandyford does the car do it automatically or do I need to enable it?
It's automatic once you set the navigation to a supercharger. You'll see a message confirming that the car is preconditioning.
Brilliant thanks
And you'll hear it, so don't be concerned by the noise.
Yes. I read that in the manual and listened to the audio gave me an idea what to expect.
Got SEAI form this morning from Tesla to fill out, does that mean delivery is close?? App still just showing Mar-Apr. MY RWD grey ordered end of Jan
It's a routine thing that happens and suggests that Tesla are getting their "ducks in a row". It may mean there is activity with your order but could just be routine. Best indicator is finding a VIN and then you know that a specific completed car has you r name on it.
Got the same and I only ordered yesterday
I’ve had my VIN number for a week now and deposit was cleared on Monday, how long after that does it take for delivery? It was showing 1st to 16th March but now it’s 12th to 27th.
They have started issuing collection dates/times for the next batch of MY's. I got 20th March at 12:00.
Collected the car today. It went very well was quick and the car was in perfect condition so delighted with it at the moment. The hassle was worth it.
Nice one! Do you mind me asking when you ordered and was it from inventory?
I ordered car from inventory 23rd February collected today
Getting mine next Tuesday now, rang them as going away and they scheduled it for the previous day.
When did you order? Was it from inventory?
For a bumper it would be a dealer visit. Just like any other brand. If your paying yourself, you could use someone local.
Just to be aware, Sandyford is near enough that the car won't have fully preconditioned by the time you arrive meaning you won't get the full charge speed when you plug in.
Nothing to worry about, just allow some extra time if you need 🔋
Gives you a chance to play with the settings!
Great. When did you order?
Anyone getting a ceramic coating on their M3H any quotes?
30th January, it was already in transit when I ordered and I got a VIN almost immediately.
Ah ya, will see what they can do. We are still waiting for some idea on a turn around. No way he would pay for damage they did to the car above.
Ordered from inventory on like the 6th of february most of the delay was on the revenue issue. Car was charged to 90% which was brilliant as I had a 150km journey home.
Can we place multiple orders and then cancel it? I have had like placed multiple in past and then only took delivery of one out of them. Would this cause any reason not to get refund?
If anyone really can't wait any longer I'm selling my 232D Model 3 RWD. "As New" condition (wheels excepted!). Midnight Silver Metallic only 5,532 km -

The paint chip is unfortunate and they fixed it. Things happen, not a huge deal.
the other issue they raised was a known recall, which happened me with Mercedes too.
The cars are the best electric cars on the market so I am ok with these delivery issues as the ownership experience is fantastic. It’s my 2nd Tesla.
If it’s not acceptable for you then don’t buy one, simple as that
Apologies, I came on here seeking information, as this is my first experience buying a Tesla.
All I'm saying is ,I don't think anyone would accept any damage/issues to any other purchase they make in their lives but it seems to be acceptable with Tesla.
I'm buying a car not joining a cult.
Strange comment about the cult. What caused you to think that was appropriate?
I was simply trying to explain to you that, although not ideal, the delivery issues are always sorted. Then all the years of ownership are great after that, including any repairs or service needed.
As I said, it’s a judgement call based on what you find acceptable. Could I have refused the car? Of course, but then I would not have had another car until April or May, my trade in quote (which was excellent) would have expired, the new car was already registered in my name so would have been hassle etc. All in all a lot less hassle to just take the car, and now a week later, it’s all sorted.
Im sure every other manufacturer has had cars damaged prior to delivery and these were repaired prior to being handed to the customer. I’ve purchased a new car only to find out that it was the one that had been in the showroom for weeks with every Tom, Dick and Harry (myself included) coming in to take a look, test the features etc. That car had marks on it but was repaired - didn’t spoil my experience of the car.
Yes it’s not ideal that people have found issues with their cars upon collection but at least you can see the extent of the issue before it’s repaired and Tesla will repair it.
I picked my new Model Y up this week and found no PPF fitted. I simply raised it in the app and they’ll be out to fit it next week - once that’s done it’ll be a distant memory
