Absolutely. If something was to happen to the presumptive nominee, she would have a reasonable standing to jump back in. The only other candidate that won previous contests in the current race. She also did higher delegate numbers than the previous last rival standing in 2016 (John Kasich).
I don't completely disagree, but I also think a lot of the GOP, even many of the MAGA contingent, would have backed her if she was the nominee just as an anti-Dem vote (same way a lot of the Dem vote in 2020 and likely in 2024 will be an anti-Trump vote rather than pro-Biden).
If she was the nominee, I'd say the MAGAs would know that if they stayed home and didn't vote, they'd be handing the election to the Dems.

Speaking as a former regular twitter user, under Musk it has become almost unusable. I have rage quit it a few times. Practically every second tweet is an ad. It keeps automatically making me follow people(or should I say entities), I have no interest in. I reckon I use it less than 10% now than I used to.
Facebook too, has gone down the same path, and it too is almost unusable for me. I only keep it for staying in touch with far flung family.

Its this quote along with his obvious assumptions about how fun and easy the job would be that makes me sure he watched The West Wing in his earlier more lucid years and thats where he based his understanding of what the job of the president is. The quote itself is virtually a direct lift of something John Spencers character said in episode 6 of season 4 and the show makes the job look easy and fun along with givng and expectation about how everyone loves you just because you are the president which is very much what he expected.
The west wing is my favourite TV show and have watched it dozens of times. I sincerely doubt DJT ever had the attention span to watch it.

Yup that's it, similarly one of my favorite shows as well Ive lost count how many times i've watched it all through. I agree and doubt he watched it all but i think hes definitely seen some of it and its part of what warped his understanding of what the job actually is. You may be right that one of his advisors fed him the line but its absolutely ripped from the show imo.
Oh he thought it'd be a fun little god-king romp where he could write laws all he wanted and just hang out with cool people like Putin; then he got the job, Melania wept on election night, and he discovered you have to actually have to run a country. You couldn't just bark at the GOP and tell them to repeal Obamacare - you had to work.
Which is probably why for 2024 the entire rhetoric has boiled down to Trump 2024: I'll fúcking show them. He's not even gonna try and govern but simply rule instead. And if the liberal wing of America think Biden's weak on Israel wait til Trump waves on Netanyahu to do what he wants in Gaza. Or strangles Ukraine of arms til they have to surrender (perhaps why Macron has suddenly become extremely bullish on that topic)
