Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Thanks for the reminder - just got sorted.
Ah phew, was worried I'd miss out. Hopefully there will be some standing tickets left for 3 presale so. Bit mad that there's 2 presales for a venue the size of the Olympia but it's probably a common thing these days. How much were tickets including fees if you don't mind me asking? Thanks!
63 for standing.
The link and code are in the presale thread if you wanna grab them now.
There are actually 4 presales for it, Artist, Three, Spotify and Promoter.
She will almost certainly add a second night.
Ah nice one! Just got sorted there. Presume presale prices are same as general sale? As in not charged extra cos they know you're keen..
Didn't realise MCD and Spotify had one too. Yeah wouldn't be surprised if she did, she's a few days between next gig. Could do the Monday as Olympia already booked that Friday and Saturday
Technically they are cheaper, as general might only include few reimagining platinum, aisle seats or vip packages
Don't think there's any vip for this gig though, not sure about aisle seat price difference in Olympia but good to know standard price won't be more than general sure!
Should be good fun. Mid night gig might mean a sore head in work Friday morning
Foggy Notions teasing a long overdue gig announcement tomorrow. Phosphorescent or Bonnie Prince Billy I wonder? https://twitter.com/foggynotions/status/1765000138794115147?t=dX9WhOm3pTJjGVU9ifWS_A&s=19
The Murder Capital playing a late gig after Choice Prize on Thursday night in The Grand Social. Doors midnight, a tenner in. Good price for a ticket but anyone not on a 24 hour route would probably be needing to get a taxi home. https://twitter.com/singularartists/status/1765047903750332791?t=sjenZ7FI9_UDsYvIi74ZVw&s=19
Oh Sees for their customary May visit?
Long overdue in conjunction with oh sees would be false advertising
I meant long overdue as in they should have announced it months ago. Maybe you're been funny? Like some of my own posts it can sometimes be hard to tell.
Paul Brady playing Sligo Live in October.
Don't think so, say its more an act which hasn't played here in a while which would rule them out
I think their point is that it's a "long overdue show announcement tomorrow" as opposed to an announcement of a long overdue show.
The tweet says the announcement rather than the show is long overdue.
haha it’s the announcement of a show by an artist who hasn’t played here in a good few years.
It’s not a delayed announcement.
Yeah I get they were reading it that way but I don't think it's that, it's how these posts are usually teased. I don't know what a long overdue announcement would really mean, overdue relative to what and doesn't exactly generate a buzz. Sure will find out tomorrow wither way!
Would love to see either of those announced.
Real Estate has a new album out and just started a US tour with nothing in Europe yet. Think FN had them lined up for Vicar St in 2020/2021 but it got cancelled.
Ah, Real Estate. I haven't heard from those boys in a bit. Lovely set at EP, when was that? 2014? 2015?
Sirenia playing Opium on May 12th and Belfast on May 13th

The Foggy Notions announcement is Bonnie Prince Billy alright. Looked like the Everyman in Cork jumped the gun a bit. Playing there on Friday 23rd August. Presume there will be a Dublin, Limerick gig etc too. https://twitter.com/EverymanCork/status/1765316448308633868?t=FWgOFvXlJWAqCwWPSDVJKw&s=19
Anybody think Taylor swift will add a 4th Dublin date? Ticketmaster now shows 19 results when you search her name (used to be 18) and there is only 18 showing.
Bonnie Prince Billy playing DeBarras, Everyman, Dolans, Roisin Dubh, National Concert Hall and Whelans in August. Interesting to see 2 different sized Dublin venues being played. https://twitter.com/foggynotions/status/1765328056707588189?t=OaBf92onlWwLpADjPmjInQ&s=19
Probably wales.
they would need to apply for planning permission for a 4th show. They haven’t so it’s not happening.
I've listened to the Gallagher Squire album twice now. Cannot listen to it again. I think it is shocking. If either had released that in their own right (i.e. without the publicity of the other person being involved), it would get slated. I really liked Oasis and The Stone Roses. But this is a million miles away from either. The songs are so bland. I really would like to give it another try, but I cannot go back to it for a third listen. Second last song is titled "I'm so bored". It was aptly titled at that stage. Saves me €80 plus, to avoid the gig now. I'll wait until Gallagher on his own in June.
A matter of taste of course, but tend to agree
Sounds very dated or something, especially up against a few excellent new releases from Idles, Yard Act and others
Ooh thanks ! How do you know no planning permission has been applied for?
Each to their own. I thought the same after 1st listen that all the songs bar the two singles sounded the same.
Listened to it another 3 or 4 times in the car this week and a few more of the tracks grew on me, the raise your hands official video got me very excited for the live gigs, very cool video. I'm looking at it without my oasis/roses glasses on.
Not a brilliant album but some fantastic bits of guitar playing by squire. Would be a bit sceptical of how it will sound live.
But I still wouldn't miss this gig if they were playing 3 blind mice on the spoons.
The two of them on stage together with the added bonus of being in my favourite venue in the world, is a steal for 90 cuid with how prices have gone.
The two of them in olympia for vs 70 for LG at 3arena.
This will be a very special gig, I wouldn't miss it if I were you.
