Does anyone know where this kph construction was said to have been raid online, I haven't seen it anywhere only from his Facebook post and the papers, not even threw whispers have they been mentioned.
He's asking the guards to say he wasn't, but guards don't comment on cases till conclusion.
The Sunday World has a photo of the managing director of the company complaining about the malicious rumours. Its a topless selfie of him by a pool in a foreign country. Of all photos I'd be sharing to clear my name, it wouldn't be that one!
Agreed...he seems to have publicised the malicious rumours far more than any grapevine or whispers. I've only heard of the rumours through himself and no-one else.

I had never even heard of the company until I saw someone share his post. It only seems to be them shouting about it, no one else has mentioned them before then!
NMD also called it rumours last year.....
I think anyone in Kerry who looks comfortably off will be a suspect in all of this carry on. The begrudging curtain-twitchers are on the rampage. 😛
I wouldn't read anything into that. Grid finance are regarded as a good lender within the retail/distribution/hospitality industry due to their daily % repayment plans
APR would be a little higher than the banks at about 8%-9%.
I'm not talking about Grid Finance, I'm referring to Ace Home Centre Ltd, the company that apparently lent 2 mill to Ballyseedy Properties in 2021.
Same address as Grid finance.
Sunday world would not be the best of sources.
edit - just same address and no connection
I heard from someone i know down that way who said there was supposed to have been some sort of raid on them but was something unrelated to Ballyseedy.
It was the Indo that ran the story about Ace Home Centre
Same group same jounro, ace aren't connected to grid, I'll have to check that out later.
That what stuck me, why go off like that, others have been mentioned but they're keep their heads down, all self publicity.
Which address would that be as the addresses that I've sourced are different?
a little digging 😁 - no connection to Grid, just HQ is located in same large building.
Ace are an investment part of the very large Derevoya group which is also the parent of McMahons builder providers, superwarm homes, Robert Keys NI - builder providers, Tipperary sawmills and many others.
Over €100m profits sitting in their accounts and in business since 1892
There was a WhatsApp message going around about the week after the other 2 were charged. It stated loads of other companies that had been raided KPH and few garages & waste disposal facilities were named. So guessing that’s where it came from, he is making a bigger deal than needs to be made. Reminds me of the notice on the front of a local paper last Sept/Oct, saying there was no truth in the rumors about raids & 6 months later there seem to have been a lot of truth in it 🙈🙈🙈
I was out at ballyseedy today looking for plants and was effectively shown the door stating that what was on display was all they had in stock. "we recently sold off a lot of our stock and are expecting new supplies in next month" Also the usually expansive plant display area was curtailed to a much smaller area in that the section available was boarded up from the rest of it to the extent you could not even see into it. My Local Lidl store nearly had as much plants on display for sale today.
If this is the same chap whose business ran into trouble in 2010, maybe there are a few trademen with very long memories
I think that most construction businesses were in the "excrement" in 2010, or worse. 😛
I called to ballyseedy cafe this morning as I had a voucher to use. I was allowed use it in the cafe or garden centre so decided to have breakfast. The full irish breakfast was cold and the toast was just about warm.In my opinion that's not good enough for the price of nearly 15e.How hard is it to cook a fry fresh I waited long enough for it and it still came out cold.l won't be back very disappointing.
did you say it to them? they probably just don't care now...
I heard that lots of staff are leaving
I don't blame them!
Sadly a woman passed away in the town centre this morning after collapsing. The ambulance flew past us in work both directions. I read that someone got a deliberator from Ryle's chemist. Poor woman. RIP
A waste of time it was all the new locals that were working there. So the language barrier was there.
Hadn't been up in Manor in a while. I didn't realise Easons have taken over the bookshop there.
That happened weeks and weeks ago and it took them long enough to change the signage. 😛
They took over months ago, but only formerly did the signage in the last few weeks I think.
Slightly disappointed to see a notification of new posts in this thread, only to find out they're nothing to do with Ballyseedy!
Alas, the show must go on
It must have been last August at least if one of my posts is anything to go, back in those happy go lucky days when people used to buy sheds in Ballyseedy and the CEO wasn't locked up. 😛
I just gave it a mention for you to dampen your disappointment.😛
Have to have a laugh 😂
Sorry for dragging the thread off topic with another non Ballyseedy update 😝 but walking down Rock Street, it was nice to finally see that old O'Ceallaighair(?) shop just up from The Rock Inn being gutted and renovated. It had been quite dilapidated for some time. The old red brick footpath on that stretch of Rock Street badly needs replacing too. It's full of trip hazards and is very ugly looking.
