Vote green and go green with frustration.
You are giving the greens far too much credit.
FG have 13 councillors
FF have 7
green have 6
Labour have 6
othwrs have 8
are you really saying that the 6 green councillors are the most effective councillors in the council?
Do you really think that the 12 green TDs out of 160 are running the country , are they also the most effective? If so more credit to Eammon Ryan imagine what he could accomplish if he want asleep most of the time
In summary all parties support and suggest green initiatives
I dunno Ted, theres a lot of tail wagging dog going on.
What a helpful post.
The gender issue is due more to not wanting to mess up the Dyson straightened hair.
Cycled all my life, never whined or complained, wear reflective clothing, dont break red lights, cycle with care, dont go on the inside of cars turning left, you will be grand.
Is this the same Eamon Ryan, our "minister for transport and anything else he want to spout nonsense about" who has been seen taking his bike out of his ministerial car about 1 mile from Leinster house to make him look good, or who sent his ministerial car to Kerry or somewhere similar, complete with bike, again to make him look good.
If you actually talk to young women, you find there's a bit more than that going on, but don't let actual research hold you back;
The 'never whined or complained' bit is a bit of a stretch.
It would seem that support for cycle ways, walking and I suppose "Living Streets" is greater than might be suspected from certain posts on this forum?

Had to go via Stillorgan Park earlier than usual today, i usually book a late slot on the timesheet so didnt realise how bad things are.
Traffic blocked up so badly i actually turned off the engine to savefuel.
Two L25 one after the other passed me, both empty, presume some passengers waiting for them gave up.
Looked at the road works, whats left for cars and buses looks very tight, we have loads of shops and pubs etc, a funeral home, lots of bigger vehicles will be on this route, I predict mayhem.
only cyclist i saw was someone in the middle of the road on a cargo bike, I am allergic to them, Southside prats who use them for the facebook pics then go home to take out the range rover to drop a few thousand on( another) bag in Dundrum.
As I said one long whine fest, gave up after the first paragraph, their make up, their hair, the nails, the plastic eyelashes, etc, the fake tan, how can they possibly get up on a bike.!!!!!!
And the more the likes of Andrew drones on about how dangerous cycling is the more people he puts off.
LOL they are the ones whining? Your entire post history in this thread is one long whine about how everything in the world is not exactly how you want it to be cus other people have different opinions, needs and requirements. Your posts all taken together are nothing more than a sad, ignorant, bigoted rant.
Also the issues the young women had in that article were far more varied than the nonsense you posted but im not surprised in the slightest your attention span didn't let you make it past the first paragraph.
Gosh, your post is a bit of a sad ignorant rant but you are entitled to your opinion.
What was another obstacle to cycling, oh the long skirt, maybe just wear a pair of the skin tight leggings in the wardrobe and change when you get to school….
Next………
Can you imagine just how bad the traffic snarl would be if the southside prats😂 were using their range rovers instead of the cargo bikes??
Doesn't bear thinking about!!!
I prefer the Range Rovers, there is no space on the roads or the cycle lanes or the footpaths for cargo bikes.
Some of the children being ferried around in them look big enough for secondary school, make them walk to school, its ridiculous.

I think that there are a few being dropped to IADT (3rd year creative arts) and UCD (4th year psychology) by their Mom's. Its hard to let go of the little dears.
Maybe there isnt a decent bus service, Mummy is probably driving to work so its handy to drop family off.
I mean you hardly expect Mummy to transport the college students in a cargo bike.
Andrew will trawl the internet now to find an enormous cargo bike that you can transport adults in.
I dropped my girl to the bus today, she has never cycled and never will, doesnt make up excuses about skirts etc, she just says I hate cycling.
she just says I hate cycling.
Must be genetic!!
For the record: The rain and wind today was horizontal up until 10:30 or thereabouts. The cargo bike was therefore blown off the cycle path.
Did you click the wrong link perhaps? Because there's none of that in the article I linked, though I know that the actual research findings won't suit your agenda, so presumably you're going to play the 'see-no-evil' monkey and avoid it.
Except the schools ban this approach, as you'd know if you actually read the article or listened to the women concerned.
What are the roadworks in that area for do we know?
Surely the flow of traffic will improve, once the works are completed.
Not sure what this has to do with bikes/bike lanes anyway?
They’re putting in new bicycle paths and narrowing the road, removing right turns into each of the estates. A 500-750 m tailback in the evening is already fairly standard going to Carysfort avenue.
Unfortunately the flow of motor traffic at the N11 end will only get worse, as can be seen following the placement of bollards along the road at the new crossing.
However, the cycle path should be significantly improved for cyclists.
Thanks.
Wonder whether drivers will adhere to the right turn restrictions.
I dont know what it is about traffic lately, but red lights and road rules seem to be optional for car drivers.
Apologies, the original intention was to narrow the road by removing the right turn lanes into the estates, rather than stopping right turns. The idea being that it would make it easier to cross the road. We shall see what we get!
One thing is for sure, the works will certainly not hasten the progress of the revised bus routes now going through that neck of the woods.
When it comes to the various arms of the 4 Dublin councils, the transport providers, and the NTA, there is no strategic collaboration evident in really anything that they're doing.
One of those buses is the L25 so that wont matter as according to maisie nobody will use it due to not being able to find where it starts in Dundrum
Is that not the girl who had no lights ?
You and Donald "The Chump" Trump both.
Now that's just lies, and has been debunked many times. Unless you have evidence?
100% it is.
It was actually Limerick.
