Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
^ It's f*cking March.. leave it out..
Very few of those coming from Marley bother with the lengthy walk to the Luas. Hence it doesn’t get overcrowded and the best option for getting away.
I'm only the messenger!
It's only eight months away. That's nothing to what some shows are. I'm going to see Peter Kay next summer (2025), tickets went on sale 18 months ago. Compared to that they're leaving it late. 😂
100%. Couldn't agree more.
Anyone looking forward to the Gallagher Squire gig more or less now the album is out?
Only gave it one listen but I like it
They emailed me back and said they fixed it - in case you're still waiting for it.
some good stuff need to listen more . liking some of the Jake Bugg stuff aswell
Forgot he’s supporting. Haven’t really listened to him much since his first two albums
Aye I've listened a few times and found it grow on me a good bit already. Think it'll sound great live
Yea I’m looking forward to the gig. Love the Olympia as well
Yes, got sorted. Thanks very much.
I thought the gig was Gallagher headlining and Squire supporting. I didn't realise they had made a new album together. Must give it a listen. I really liked Oasis and The Stone Roses.
I wonder at the gig, will they play some Oasis and Stone Roses tunes. One album of their own material won't make much of a show.
its just there stuff and some covers - thats why its only in small venues
Due to the template that Ticketmaster use, the printed ticket makes it look like that. Liam Gallagher in large font and John Squire in smaller font below.
Last year I had a ticket that had SUBJECT TO LICENSE on the top line and Bruce Springsteen on the second line in much smaller font 😂
No Oasis or Roses material according to Liam. Though I wouldn’t be totally surprised if they do Champagne Supernova anyway. Believe Liams also been saying they’re gonna do more gigs together beyond this first run and more albums
Oh ok. I was going to pick up a ticket for this. WAs hoping to hear a few Oasis and Roses songs. Will give it a miss, unless the collaboration album blows me away in the next 2 weeks. It will be a fairly subdued atmosphere there is people are not familiar with the songs.
Whilst not exactly the same, that reminds me of when I saw Damon Albarn playing his The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows album in the National Concert Hall. It was mad seeing a small but not insignificant number of people leaving long before the end because there were no Blur songs.
Yes. The other one they often end up with (due to the length of the act's name) is RDS MAIN ARENA in giant font where the artist should be, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in smaller text.
Is it her on her own? Or is she touring with timbaland?
On her own. Sure her album loose was electronic pop/rnb. Perfectly suitable for FF
Would Gold Circle be packed or is there room to roam?
I've never been in a good circle/pit that didn't have space to move at the back.
Wouldn't let that stop you going. Like someone said, I think they'll definitely finish with champagne supernova. The albums 39 mins so they'll definitely need 3 or 4 covers.....seeing them in this small of a venue is not to be missed.
Just on the album, definitely needs a few listens. Wasnt expecting anything extraordinary but it's certainly not a terrible album.
Roll on March 16th 🍺
Killer Mike (of Run the Jewels) playing national stadium in august
usually room to move untill the main act is on
There's always room to move about towards the back at the barrier. If you're short or have a bad back or anything the GC can be worth it as you can usually watch in a bit more comfort as you'll have the barrier to lean against.
Chappell Roan
James Vincent McMorrow is playing All Together Now on Friday 2nd August. Only 49 other acts to go so..
