Not wanting to go down the whole traveller debate, but are they being moved somewhere. I'm guessing there is only one family there judging from pictures.
Not a hope would you get them out of there.
Not a hope would anyone move in there especially paying 250k for the privilege!!!
AFAIK they own that site themselves.
That family owns that site and have been there for years. Never heard a word about them.
I saw an Aldi coming soon at old Golden Discs in City Square.
Aldi in the Glen are moving to city square this summer
How much space are they taking.
Cant see DS management being overly pleased.
Not sure of suitable here. But I see Costa in Ardkeen seems to be getting work done. Probably just a makeover or freshen up.
Or someone new moving in, anyone know.
Rumour is that it’s a ‘change of use’ for most likely asylum seekers.
Sounds like rubbish.
I see Loko has planning in for change of use from restaurant to retail on the bottom floor
Revamping the store! Also Costa at Waterford Retail Park in Butlerstown is to get a drive thru.
Applegreen Holycross is getting a drive thru as well, that'll be 3 drive thru coffee places on the Cork road!
Thanks. When is the revamped store due to re open?
from the Loko owners? or someone else
Ardkeen stores owns it and it's their name on the planning application
Building work to commence on the old Waterford Crystal site in the coming weeks
Another development that hopefully gets the green light.
Sure what has being please or not being pleased go to do with it, its happening get on with it, up your game, competition is good for everyone.
Everyone either seems to forget or ignore the fact that Roches Stores had a large supermarket present there for years.
Do I remember correctly, or did Dunnes not have groceries for sale while Roches had their supermarket open? And was there some agreement that they could only have the supermarket for so long before Dunnes opened theirs? I don't think Dunnes had a supermarket when City Square opened originally? It was a long time ago so I could be raving.
There had to be an agreement with Darrer's Stores before Dunne's could open a supermarket. Its a long story
Like it’s very strange that some stores call the shots. I find it hard to believe a store can dictate like this!
...joys of monopolisation, happens in many markets, tis common enough....
It's true that there was no Dunnes grocery when City Square opened. But there was a period where they had grocery at the same time as Roches and then Super Valu.
€4.50 an hour to park in city square.
That won't entice many customers into new aldi when you can park for free in every other aldi.
I suppose Aldi very useful for all the locals living nearby especially that dont drive for everybody else you’ll shop in other ALDIs .
I'm sure they'll have a parking ticket stamping system like they currently have in the Glen.
since when
