EU still importing away
How many people are in a brigade?
Two Ukrainian M30/31 GPS-guided rockets rained down, each blasting 182,000 lethal tungsten balls across the parade grounds. Reportedly, 19 Russians died including a colonel and two other officers. The brigade commander, Col. Mikhail Gudkov, was wounded.
Is it just me or is killing 19 people from ~364,000 tungsten balls a shocking poor return?
Not really because they probably seriously injured 3 times as many on top of the deaths.
Is Ireland directly or indirectly importing Russian oil? If so I wonder what company(s) so we can avoid them. At the start of the war a major company said it would withdraw from Russia I wonder did this happen?
It's petrol, i.e. a refined product. This mostly goes to Africa I believe.
The move is to help curb the increasing price of petrol in Russia. No doubt the regular hits on refineries are having an influence on this.
They seem to get hit regularly.
it is having an influence indeed. Hence all the bots and nazi sympathizers are telling all of us that ruSSia stronk, Ukraine needs to surrender, peace talks needed. Funny how Ukraine never mentions piece talks, its the stronk who wants them.
Absolutely. Ukrainian targeting is causing problems for their military especially now as they are pulling out all the stops.
Bit late but..
Lol
Economically, wars didn't make sense since the end of the 19th century. Currently, I would estimate the cost of killing one soldier of a developed nation to be on the order of $10 million. Insurgents can be killed for cheaper, on the order of $500K per combatant.
Did the Russians replace the downed A-50 yet or is a replacement not available ? Wonder if this is contributing to the number of Russian Planes getting promoted to ground units.
"Is it just me or is killing 19 people from ~364,000 tungsten balls a shocking poor return?" Maybe but that is a strange sentence to read.
Some thoughts on Putins state of Union speech earlier. Basically a campaign speech for the up and coming "ELECTION". 2o mins of bile, rest was about glorious Russia is just over the horizon, all you have to do is BELIEVE
1984 .. in 2024 style. It also reminds me of the public video and announcements you had in that game called HALFLIFE, constantly droning on in the background
This new video from the times is good. Dr. Stephen Hall, professor in Russian and post-Soviet politics details the likelihood of this threat as we enter the third year of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine .... 30 Minutes
Destroy those incoming tanks in the most economical way, said no soldier ever.
This must mean it costs more to produce the oil than they can sell it for.
The Transnistrians have plenty of pots.
Pretty sure most if not all of it is going to Hungary.
Reported that Macron is preparing to send French fighter jets with pilots and technicians to Ukraine. They will be given Ukrainian citizenship first before being deployed..Similar to USSR pilots fighting in Vietnam or Korea.
any link to that?
Edit: this?
Youd wonder why they bother. Why not just get them to sign up to Academii or the like and use French direct financial aid to pay for it!
That would be a major move. Saw discussions that they were considering sending older Mirage 2000s to Ukraine. Pilots would be a significant step up.
Do you realize that since conflict started the EU paid Russia more than the EU sent as "aid" to Ukraine?
There's been plenty of rumours on planespotting sites that this is already in motion, French training sites ramping up activity which haven't been as busy in years (one spotter on a French forum mentioned seeing Ukrainian insignia on pilots, before the post was removed), along with a lot of strange Alfajet movements which coincide with Draken training over the north sea (i.e. the Danish and Dutch trained F-16 pilots)....
Could be all just rumour, but, I'm hoping there is some substance in it... even if it were just training and some token Mirages transferred, it opens up the likes of potential transfers from Greece, Peru, and a load of middle eastern countries who are actively or due to retire the 2000's.
Also of note, Mirage 2000's are deployed currently in Eastern Europe, and do regular sorties along the Belarussian and Ukrainian boarders.
Strange that Tucker Carlson didn’t interview/visit this woman
Yes yes I know it’s the Daily Mail - but is there some truth here too at the same time?
I imagine there is- maybe this is the ugly side of war even from the “good guys” perspective-
it would be tragic if Ukraine falls to Russia - I’m not sure history will be kind to Western Europe or indeed the political powers of US in years to come.
Clear Military aid has been questionable throughout this war- lots of talk around just what supports can be provided - indecision etc
I don’t feel there will be any type of compromise- Russia will take Ukraine ultimately if western support isn’t significantly ramped up- even then it’s uncertain - and maybe that is why support has become lukewarm now- have decisions been already made to let the inevitable happen?

One video doesn’t prove much either way I guess - you might be correct and that this is lazy journalism.
Either way I’ve no doubt such activity may be happening - it’s war afterall
