Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
I used Marathon Coaches to get to/from Marlay Park from Dundrum Luas and it was super handy. Had no issues.
Cheers for replies. Would be heading no further than Ballsbridge probably; Luas from Dundrum an option that time of the evening?
Kacey Musgraves playing the Olympia on Sunday 28th April. https://twitter.com/mcd_productions/status/1763202525082096050?t=gqoDvHPN8xBJNKxUx3OtcQ&s=19
Also I'd recommend booking those ahead of time, me and my friend tried to book one on the day for the Hella Mega Tour and was sold out (totally our own fault)
such an underplay for her. 3 arena last time
6.30pm is the last scheduled time from Dundrum to Marlay.
They just load people on buses as they turn up.
If you sign up to their mailing list, they'll give you 10% off the booking.
Wasn't that part of the C2C weekend? I don't think she's played bigger than the Olympia on her own unless I'm forgetting something.
You're correct, she only played 5 songs as part of that night where there were three other artists on the bill.
That wasn't even the last time she was here though as she played the Olympia herself in 2018 so its pretty much on point.
Luas is about a 20 min walk. If you're trying to make luas your fine
Yes Luas is your man, use it all the time
You're absolutely right. She played 3Arena as part of C2C and did the Olympia later in the year, by which stage Golden Hour had become the zeitgeist. Soccer Mommy opened. A great double bill, as far as I was concerned. She didn't play here on the last tour. It'll be interesting to see if the audience has changed since her last visit.
her audience has deffo grown since last show here. Could deffo do a seated 3 arena
I only became aware of her / got into her with Golden Hour which is a phenomenal album and her back catalogue is great too. Was a bit disappointed with last album but definitely going to see her or try at least. Also think she could do bigger than Olympia but it'll be a great venue to see her in. I think her last time there clashed with Leon Bridges who I also love and I went with LB instead.
3Arena is free that night. Wonder if it could be moved? Would have thought she'd be popular
Looks like the Euro tour is fairly short, only stopping in nine cities (Dublin is night 1) and limited to smallish venues. So the Olympia might be a deliberate choice – as opposed to one based on her popularity. Perhaps she's just keeping it small to get her road legs back before heading back to the States and much bigger venues.
A packed out Olympia is way better than a half full 3Arena in any event for fans.
Could she really go from 1600 to 13000 attendees? Seems a bit of a stretch.
Yeah looks likes the europe run is solely theatre level production. Would say she would come back next year for bigger arena/possibly summer outdoor run in europe.
Ja rule Gig cancelled

That's a fair shout, makes sense
Not worth his while to play here anyway? Or is he not allowed into Ireland either
with 6 of 7 dates off . and most likely think dublin is in the uk also
Yet another one where a 5k venue would have been perfect.
She'll sell out the Olympia easy (and may well add another night as next 2 nights free), but no chance of selling out even a curtained off 3arena.
3 arena capacity is flexible. Can be configured from 5500 or so to 13,000.
doesn’t matter though as this European run is not an arena run.
she will undoubtedly come back in 2025 for bigger show
I know it's flexible but a cordoned off 3Arena is not great.
Support announced for the gossip.
Another interesting guardian article about the industry and live event scene in the uk
It's a 3km walk to Luas, google maps estimates would take 45 mins, it's a hike but manageable and Luas is reliable and runs until midnight and beyond
Marathon Coaches are great and worth the cost
Except you've got several thousand people trying to get the Luas and they don't put extra on.
Back for a 3rd year! Saw it last time in Belfast and it was brilliant!
There's 4 shows (including a matinee) at the Gaiety in November as well as show in Limerick and they finish with 2 nights at the Waterfront in Belfast on Christmas week.
