Here is part of transcript of Yulia Navalnaya at the European parliament that you mention for context.
However, I'm standing here because your voters have an important question. They are asking you about it and then you are asking me. The question is: "How can I help you in your fight?" Last Saturday was two years since Putin started a full-scale war against Ukraine. A brutal and sneaky war. The whole world rushed to Ukraine's aid, but two years passed.
There is much exhaustion, much blood, much disappointment. And Putin has gone nowhere. Everything has already been used: weapons, money, sanctions. Nothing is working. And the worst has happened. Everyone got too used to the war. Here and there, people start to say: "Well, we'll have to come to an agreement with Putin anyway". And then Putin killed my husband, Alexei Navalny.
Further down:
... In this fight, you have reliable allies. There are tens of millions of Russians who are against war, against Putin, against the evil he brings. We must not persecute them. On the contrary, you must work with them, with us.
I dont see anything wrong with this? There are millions of Russians against this war and against Putin, I am sure of that. Inside Russia is extremely repressive that makes the fight against putin almost impossible. Plus years of this has surely worn down the population.
I also have said here way back that russia is no longer a country, it is as Yulia said, a mafia organisation with Putin at the top. So maybe, as she said, we need to be going after the lawyers, bankers, money people world wide who are running this mafia empire, go after its funding in that way, instead of seeing it as a state. Treat it like and Dismantle this crime empire as has been done many times across the world in the past.
Well I’d rather someone qualified and experienced in that area and actually from an EU country rather than a sympathy appointment for a widow.
From that linked article:
What’s more, the military threat posed by the troops in Transnistria is “limited,” according to Ambassador Ursu. “Many soldiers are actually local recruits with Russian passports,” he said. “It’s unlikely they’d be willing to die for Russia. Russians’ presence in the backyard is perceived as a bigger threat by Ukraine.”
Transnistria, a narrow strip of land wedged between Moldova and Ukraine, is home to ethnically Russian separatists running a pro-Kremlin breakaway republic. As well as military units, it hosts Soviet-era ammunition depots.
Not sure how much resupplying actually goes on there based on that analysis
Much of that garrison is apparently made up of locals.
Going by Wikipedia, they use Chisinau airport -> road but that was prior to 2022
How does Russia resupply/rotate the garrison there? Sea and overland through Moldova?
Notice how they didn't ask to be a part of Russia, like some earlier speculations suggested. Even Transnistria knows joining Russia would just mean a lot of draft notices airdropped over Tiraspol.
Strong speech from a strong woman
I'm sure Wallace & Daly especially enjoyed it
Yeah, she ain't the answer to anything.
Well I did say it was a thing that came straight to my mind for some reason .. did not say whether its a good or a bad idea, though I do think she is a very strong woman and could be an interesting person with a big platform like this
Yulia Navalnaya is who you want for security and Defense in the next European Commission. Putin might actually die from laughing
Expected but still not good
Moldova’s Breakaway Region Appeals for Help From Russia
Here is MEP David McAllister - Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee
He says he would like to see a Commisioner for Security and Defence in the next European Commision. She or perhaps He .....
And straight away it came to my mind, how about Alexei Navalny's WIFE Yulia Navalnaya .. now that would rub it in hard to Mr Putin and Co .. ?? :D
But Putin will only stop at Ukraine we were told.
He smells the fear of the West and he’s going for it.
All too predictable by us plebs here yet our so called leaders couldn’t or didn’t want to see it.
Exactly so they must be pushed out with the only thing they understand.
They've already been fighting for over 10 years now. They were fighting the second Russia rolled in 2022 before the American weapons showed up(minus some Javelins they already had). The only question will be their ability to hold the line or retake territory. Not their will.
Why is Russia leaving absurd? You haven't explained that at all. Why would that be any more absurd than believing the Kremlin will honor any peace agreement made? The former has happened several times in the past. The latter...... well... anyone who believes it's anything other than fantasy that Putins word can be trusted is either childishly naive or a Kremlin apologist. Which are you?
Not a question of dreams just logic believing Russia just leaving is absurd.
Do you think the Ukrainians will fight if the aid is stopped.
No fight until Russia and Putin return to their borders and stop their illegal occupation.
Until then Ukraine will fight on and your dreams of Ukraine surrendering their land to Putin is pie in the sky.
I don't think Putin is going to die or become geriatric any time soon .You believe Zelensky only 31000 Ukrainians have been killed . The New York Times quotes 70000.
Got a link for 13:1 k/d ratio .

In that case fight to the last man .
It probably has something to do with the oscillations and vacillations in the US? Maybe sending a message to Putin that the US Congress etc. being in a heap over support to Ukraine right now doesn’t mean that the EU gives up - on the contrary in fact, some countries could be looking to widen their options on the support they make available. Something like that. (If it’s with that in mind, I would especially expect it from Macron, more than anyone. He really likes to “project” and do the whole power balance to AUKUS thing, doesn’t he? Plus I think Scholz said that there was no mention in Paris of the troops on the ground.)
Actually, thinking on it, I believe this was a solo run-of-the-mouth by Macron.
No doubt Macron's statement was carefully thought out among NATO leaders before he said it. What you see in the public domain is just window dressing. I have no idea of the purpose of it but it is not an off-the-cuff remark.
