The movie looks a little better than I thought it would look, but my God does McGregor bring things down. His charisma doesn't seem to translate well into acting. He seems stiff and frankly he can't act at all from the looks of things.
Also, just from the trailer it looks like his dislogue is HEAVILY over-dubbed, which should say a lot about his abilities. It's quite jarring and that's just in the trailer. Can't see the movie being any less so.
He can't be any worse than Ronda Rousey in Fast and Furious. Considering she had like two lines and those were the best takes, yikes.

You're right I was actually mixing him up with Jake Paul, my bad. Jake has some boxing ability, not professional boxing ability but enough that a fight with the likes of McGregor would be competitive, even if not a good boxing match.
Yeah I thought you might have been. Easy mistake as Jake called him out for ages. Jake is definitively cherry picking washed up, smaller opponents. But being honest, he has clearly stepped up above the level of other "Youtube boxer". And has shown some low level pro ability. I begrudgingly have to admit that. 🤣

Tommy Fury isn't even low level pro and beat him.
Jake is still absolutely Youtube boxer level.
His fights against Diaz, Woodley, Silva are cash grabs. They are not pro boxers. But they can still box and should destroy a hobbyist let alone a Youtuber.
Tommy was an 8-0 pro boxer when they fought. By definition he is a low level pro. The results were was rightly a split loss, pretty silly to say Jake wasn't on his that level.
He has fought twice more since there. Stopping two guys were were 10-1, and 17-1. Don't get me wrong, these are not future champs, they are low level card fillers. But they are professional boxers.
It's like pro MMA, it's much wider than the UFC.
