From the statement released by Marc Canham it's definitely just for the interim. "We are please to confirm that the [process for the appointment of a new men's head coach is near completion and we are looking forward to announce the appointment in April."
Sounds like they've got their candidate chosen and are finalising contract negotiations.

Off The Ball brought it up with him in the summer. I think it's basically a mix of his upbringing in Ireland, England and the last few years in college in the English Midlands.
I like John O Shea. It's a pity he started out his coaching career with 2 duds as managers. He'll build a career for himself hopefully. Could be a dark horse to make it big time in management. Our Xabi Alonso. Watch this space.
Looks like Carsley has the job from April. Of course he's untested at senior level but the best we could have hoped for really.
