Interesting video. It's surprising how close the LR is to the P, especially at higher speeds, given it has significantly higher power and torque. Would be very interesting to see the LR with AB and a P go toe to toe.
I know what you mean about the itch😄
I think the LR is standard but they zoomed in on the P at that time. If you look at the shots from further away, the LR doesn’t appear to have any underline on the rear boot.
Various UK reg checks shows it's a LR AWD. No mention of performance, it would be required to disclose to the regulator if it was performance. The zoomed in shot looks like it was taken from a different car, the edge of the reg plate is different The distance shots show no sign of any red underline. Mixup of footage.
There's not many good comparisons on Youtube. Have a look at this, both 2020.
That's good to know. Revisited that video recently and noted the red line in that inserted clip.
Bjorn Nyland did a before and after test of same car.

You have a tough decision to make.😁
I have yet to drive a P, but took a LR for a good run on all road types east Cork, including some pretty bad ones. The car was very quick, but what most impressed me was that it didn't feel any harsher on 19" than my RWD 18". Looking forward to trying the Highland soon.
Also the LR should be very efficient if driven normally. Which would be difficult to do in the P..😋
I sold my 18's and bought a set of the 19 inch sport wheels and there's very little difference between them. Handling seems better with the 19's and they're much quieter although I think it's because it's on Continental SC6's.
How do you go about that and roughly what ballpark price for trading 18"s for 19"s? Did you sell the tyres with the 18"s on ebay or adverts?
Did you get silver or grey 19". Personally I like the grey 19" wheels which is why I much prefer the 20" uberturbines over the previous generation 20"
Facebook owners page, guy wanted 18's for the extra range. Depending on condition of both sets really. I paid 800.
Has anyone else experienced an interruption to autopilot?
I use it on about 90% of my commute. Mostly national road and some motorway with a couple of regional roads where the AP is safe to use.
Yesterday I noticed on the regional road it took about 500m before I was prompted to use the AP, where usually it's 50-100m.
Today, AP was OK on the regional road, but I could not engage it the rest of the journey on the M3, N3, or M50.
I did a screen reboot on the N3. No change. I haven't adjusted any settings.
I haven't been AP banned either because I have the inside cam covered and I don't get notices about where my eyes or hands are.
I'll be on the M50 later and hopefully it will be back to normal, but has anyone else had this issue?
I'm assuming you mean the basic AP. If so not sure what you mean by prompt as I never been prompted to use it but maybe it's a setting I don't use.
Either way I was driving the other night and cruise control wouldn't activate, never mind AP. I slowed to a stop and moved of again and it was fine. Meant to check if there's a bug in the latest sw but haven't seen anything.
The 19” wheels only come in silver I think. You’d have to get them refurbed grey if you want them grey.
Keep you eye on adverts, DoneDeal, FB groups, both here and UK. They don’t come up that often so you have to snap them when they do.
The "prompt" is when the little grey steering wheel pops up on the top of the screen to let you know you can activate CC or AP.
CC couldn't be activated either. If it happens again today, I'll put in a support ticket. One of the main reasons I bought the car was for this function.
Anyone else have a similar issue?
AP and CC seemed to recover and was again available to use as normal. Happy days
Yeah I have it periodically over last 3 years. No rhyme or reason to it, sometime AP just doesnt want to play nice. Generally the best remedy is to actually stop the car, get out, lock it and then hop back in. Its quite infrequent, but does happen.
Took my 2022 M3 through one of the hand wash places and while they were washing it down, I noticed some of the water sprayed on my face (only a couple of drops) but the water drops were visible in the car. I realize they use high pressure washers but I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this? It only happened on the driver side and somewhere along where the B pillar and window meet. Car wash mode was of course active and everything closed.
What was the outside temperature? If cold the windows do not go all the way up into seal, to avoid damaging the rubber. You can actually feel the top of the glass with your nail from outside the car. But the seal should still stop any water ingress.
Thanks for the reply, it was on Sunday in Dublin so about 4-8 Celsius, not too cold. I gave the seals a wipe down and will monitor it, if it happens again I'll probably log a service request.
I noticed the same in an auto wash a rew weeks ago on the passenger side, as well as increased road noise when I was in the passenger seat and the road was wet. I had a ranger call out and make a little adjustment.
I have a 231 M3 RWD. Left the Midlands on Sunday with battery at 100%, and 4 people on board. I drove to Glendalough, then to Phibsboro, and back to the Midlands. On the motorway I had the cruise control set to 115km/h (with a few short bursts at 130). When i arrived back, the total distance was 336km, with 12% left in the battery. That gives a (theoretical) range of approx 381km (I think!),
How does that compare with others on here? I was pretty pleased, but if I'm honest, I expected to get 400km!
400km at 110 easily achieved.
That's normal and very good, it's not Summer temps yet, you'll have around 30km below 0% also
Hi Folks,
I have sentry mode on all the time and when in a busy car park in work all day it really drains the battery. Yesterday in work 7am 388kms range and left work 4pm with 360kms range. Is this normal?
if i turn off sentry mode how good is the alarm on the car?
Sounds normal, around 9% per day is what to expect.
Completely normal.
Ignore the range drop as that can happen with cold batter too. What % did you loose?
Perfectly normal. and most of us are happy to lose a few % per day for peace of mind.
You can turn off camera based detection and it will save a load of battery... this means Sentry will only record actual threats like if someone bumps off the car etc... and not just if someone walks past the car... However with camera based detection off, it's obviously not as sensitive, so could potentially miss something.
Also, set the range to % and not km's and live hassle free..... (trust me)
thanks AndyBoBandy, how do i turn off camera based detection?
why is % better than KMs when looking at range, I like seeing the actual range???
