The bubble tea place was meant to expand into the unit but issue with planning so they stayed.
The stores in Blanchardstown and Jervis are closing too.
It's called "Yankees" - independent store owned by someone local in Galway.
The sign went up in November. No shortage of new stock appearing in the shop since.
That must be the 10th time they are having a closing down sale.
Quare echo in here.

What does it say? I'm not giving them the clicks
Roost or whatever it's called had lights on this morning.
Hah, Good idea.... from 2023.... The neighbours of a Galway city shop which has closed down are looking to expand a move into the shut down store lying idle next door.
In October, it was confirmed that the once wildly popular Yankee Candle store on Abbeygate Street Lower was closing down permanently as a heartbreaking note was left in the window.
The note, which is still inside the store, said that it would be shutting down for good and that a closing down sale would be ongoing until their final day. It added that fans of the store would also still be able to get their candles as the shop moved online.
I'm surprised the GalwayBeo headline didn't say " Galway shopping centre shop closing down in centre of Galway as Galwegians react with devastation!"
I seriously think they are using some form of inferior AI to write their articles. They are the most amateur "journalism" I've ever come across! Any legit business should be embarrassed to want to advertise with them....
It reads a bit like Waterford Whispers, almost if there's a deep underlying sarcastic tone to everything.
Then you realise it's someone being serious. Pathetic.
I used to complain about the Daily Mail, which now seems almost tame in comparison.
Anywho, Bartollini Pizza, based up in Ballybrit near Boston Scientific during the week, is now open Saturday/Sunday in the former Great Gas station on Headford road. Good pizza.
Inferior AI, like humans? 😉
Red-tops are gonna red-top. They know how to get clicks
Went past it a few times, figured it was closed on certain days, but it is closed today Saturday
Ya your man retired, closed for well over a month now.
Where was it ? Can't place the name.
Front of Galway shopping centre Headford road.
@Gadgetman496 in all the times I passed that unit I never noticed the surname on the sign overhead.
Individually run fruit and veg stores like (bakeries, butchers and fishmongers etc) are another type of business going extinct. Most people just buy them in supermarkets as part of their overall once a week grocery shop.
..
Doesn't appear true for bakerues: Ean, Bridie Murphy's, Magpie.
Butchers are a dying breed through.
Hickey Meats opened last year and appear to be doing well. It gives some hope.
i was having a slice of pizza in Napoli on Saturday. An old acquaintance exited from the vacant unit next to it, had a quick chat and then she mentioned that her friend will be opening a ladies fashion store there.
Does anyone know if Galway garden machinery is gone? Closed last week & again this week. Not answering phone
New shop opening in the Donut shop that closed recently beside/near Kings head. Heart of Galway sign on it - Irish Gifts and Clothes.
Great another gift shop!
Probably just another venture from the same family you'd imagine.
Yea, "Galway Girl" T shirts and the likes
Car Park beside Dog Track is closing. Think the development works for Connacht Rugby starting in March.
