Hard to fathom tirlan paying 1.7 cent more to northern suppliers for feb milk, than southern suppliers, their able to top lakelands northern milk price but can't match their southern prices
No its 40 cents including contract payment incl vat
Kerry up to 40 cent plus 2 cent contract payment.
Once February is over and our crowd can't hide behind their Seasonality bonus their going to have to rise base price a combined 4 cent for feb/march milk on the assumption lakeland hold price for March and don't increase, can't remember them trailing lakeland this badly before re base price in a longtime
Lakelands up 1.5cpl
Incorrect solids on top of bonus
in new scheme autumn calving is bonus is a flat price, solids are only paid at base price not on the bonus amount, with cso indexed linked price can go up or down
non-contracted being paid bonus plus solids
think the new liquid scheme is the same flat price
Had a bad January quality wise and back abit in volume wise. Good bit off that price. Just aswell iv the rest of the year to make up for it...
Both liquid and autumn calving schemes are paid solids on top of bonus
however these volumes don’t receive the 4 cpl seasonality payment
No cause the the 4cpl wasn’t paid on liquid volumes only on autumn calving scheme volumes-
Your effective price would be 42.1c if not liquid so?
are liquid lads paid solids on top of liquid bonus?
autumn calving have no solids payment on autumn calving bonus???? im in that scheme
unconditional bonus is paid with solids
12cpl liquid on top of solids paid every month
Yeah knew it was too good to be true
How much of a Bonus is on top of that Stan? Dairygold is only 5.6c a litre and paid in a lump sum in March on November to February milk supply.
Did you get the texts ? Muppets, overpaid by 4cpl
Not a bad price all things considered
pedigree hols cows
No they haven't in the past anyway. What would be the basis for a payout for suppliers all you could do is cash your shares which in most coop are small values
if a co op was taken over by a larger co.op would the farmer's get a payout
What coop could possibly go public kev genuine question as I don't see them having the financial clout to get it off the ground.....I may be completely wrong 🤔
If another co.op goes public will the shareholders get a windfall...
I suppose most co-op suppliers have shares in their co:op but they don't want their coop to go public.
Didn't Kerry suppliers have a vote to go public.
Many kerry supplier's are in a better position than they like to admit apart from new entrants kerry supplier's got patronage shares for many years even if you got no old shares the patronage shares alone could easily add to a couple of hundred thousand euro which supplier's to other co ops elsewhere don't have
Those lads are getting fewer and fewer though... 50 years ago since kerry was formed... if you were 25-30 years old when ya started farming in 1973 you are now 80.. if still alive.. so depending on family circumstances etc a good few of the shares are now in the hands of the daughters of these farmers... assuming the son got the land..
The flip side is that their is a large number of millionaire dairy farmers in the kerry area that are very happy to look at a piece of paper in the drawer take out their calculator but don't want to sell any share in case the shares might go up ìn the future and are happy to milk cows every day
Kerry is the poorest payer now for many the year ,but what is insane is Kerry farmers puchasing thier inputs from Kerry and paying the dearest prices for fert and meal in the country .I dont think they will learn at this stage!!!
For a business that led the way in this country for so many years.. to see Kerry paying farmers the crappie price they are paying is sadder than sad... to see the way the share price has fallen from its lofty heights and this weeks news of a drop in revenues... Scanlons days are numbered ...
Latest kite podcast on milk markets was the most positive I'd say in 14 months they needed to at least go 2 cent on base to keep up with the rest bar kerry, won't be to many new entrants rushing to join them for this year anyways
They say pay peanuts and you get monkeys, unfortunately we don't pat peanuts in Tirlan and we still get monkeys!
2.5 cent behind lakeland on base price, and 5 cent on total jan price back to the same ole messing of using the winter bonus to hide their base price surprisingly they didn't pull that stroke last winter...
