You are thinking of Douglas Hogg and the MPs' expenses in the late-2000s
Bit more info, and photos of it when it was previously opened as a hotel
No, Georgian Town house about 200 years old. Own it but no longer living there
Not in Ireland and probably not in the best area of PA, but this is a lot of house for the price!
Not a house but a cina which hasn't been used since 2013!
Here's Spanish website that you can loose hours browsing through. Abandoned Spanish villages, old churches, manor houses and farms.
In fairness, if you had deep pockets and you knew what you were getting into, that could be one fabulous house.
Some millionaire rockstar would make a nice home from it.
That's kinda cool.
There's a Channel 4 show about buying these ('Help, I bought a village' or something like that)
there is another show set in Italy with Alan Carr and Amanda Holden where they buy a property for a euro and do it up.

Too many houses around it for wall to ceiling glass for me anyway. I wouldn't mind it if it was in a remote area.
The kinda place I'd like to break into just to have a nose around

Talking from experience... 🤣

Old cinema in Waterford works very well as an interestingly shaped bookshop with a mural where the screen was, and one in Tramore is now a shop that sells all kinds of art, crafts, stationery, gifts and similar items. It would make an interesting video - old cinemas and what they have become!
Edit - I just googled Ireland, old cinemas, and there is a lot for Dublin, also this thread from Boards https://www.boards.ie/discussion/2056634068/old-cinemas from 12 years ago.
Have you a back garden is so self build a cinema there. You'd self build a wooden structure for under 5 grand. Couple more for sound system plus the projector.
You say that as tho it's fairly a straightforward thing for the average Joe to do.
Die hard 4. A good day to die hard.
It's not for sale, but you'd want to be on some strong meds to be paying €2.5k/month for this
I'm cold just looking at those pictures!
Would you know if a Portuguese one exists?
Another Celtic Tiger indulgence....this one has the look of a repossession job...
