That's an old recycling logo, we have a new one.
It is After Hours... the mystery of where the boards bottler gets his bottles may end up in the black hole along with whatever was in the woodshed and ate that poor boardsie before they could get a picture for us :)

A large number of people just aren't bothered using it.
There awoke so long. They fell asleep? Money baby 1 n only reason.
In the post. Indirectly like this shite
now you're catching on, could be getting warmer! if someone made the thread idea mentioned in my previous comment. I'd probably back you for one of the people here being a potential winner
edit: also the video reply you gave the mod was hilarious
and also raichu's guess was funny too. wild but fun speculation to read. i'd love to see a whole thread dedicated to guessing/solving the mystery.
i don't really have to answer up for (or prove) anything, but for the record i have disclosed it a number of times in these recycling threads, along with my job/profession and other things related to this. There's even a post here that explained the purpose of my username in great detail.
its just that i care not to keep repeating myself to anyone that chooses not to keep up with the threads, as i already have twice since then. i could give the recent posters (who weren't around to see it before) the benefit of the doubt, but i can't risk getting any more warnings on what looks like easy bait. Not saying they are trying to bait me, but i am noting there are others waiting to pounce and report me for anything possible. Some of these reports have gotten reversed, but thats not the point.
Anyone who wants to talk about anything personal and have a genuine discussion is always free to private message me.
As for these forums, i'd rather only stick to discussing the matters at hand (recycling deposit scheme itself) and replying to comments relating to it that do not involve me. While also sharing the occasional picture, and not being forced into a position of having to prove myself, or given some sort of unfair treatment, or being called a robber/thief by mods, or anyone.
Maybe perhaps out of interest for the people curious in this thread, maybe some one of them can make a seperate thread elsewhere about it and discuss it there? would be fun and games, like a mystery thread where speculation is welcome and funny wacky conclusions or conspiracies or even serious conclusions and ideas all being welcome. like a cluedo or who-done-it sort of thing. How did boardsbottler get ____ amount of ___ ? What is the story behind it all? Who can solve this mystery? who shot jr? who killed captain alex? very mysterious circumstances.
I'll ask the simple question. Wtf is wrong with our recycling bin that we pay for. You know to recycle.
Again that's Supervalu, who appear to be a complete fcuk-up basically.
This scheme really is designed for families who do a weekly shop and can return cans, who are probably recycling anyway.
Not being able to use your vouchers in different Lidl stores or whatever is just baffling
They are wheelchair accessible.
The lady who was complaining has no arms, it's pretty hard to imagine a machine which could accommodate her needs unfortunately.
I'm sure that made sense in your head, care to share?
funny how you tell us what you’re not doing but not what you are… hmm the boardsbottler doth protest too much.
Not enough cans/bottles in neighbors bins, so come on, spill the beans, something not adding up, you have to have commercial access to returned items
Bollocks
..😅
objection your honor, call for speculation! XD also if that were to be the case (or should i say toby the case), then that would be like the whole entire road's worth of bins. And what are the chances that all neighbors would be deciding to put their valid returnable recyclables in their bins?
its making a huge leap and assumption that my whole entire road all decided to boycott the return scheme, not take part, and insist on using their green bins like before.
maybe they’re robbing the neighbours recycling bins.
Okay, then what is he answer to having the 350 plus cans and bottles you've put in the machine so far, where did all these cans/bottle come from.
Unfortunately i am neither of those things. Also looked into the barcode thingy strictly for educational purposes. Sadly it's not something i would reccomend to anyone, and also not worth investing any time into, as the start up costs for something like that is'nt feasible enough to justify it. Seems like too much hassle for anyone that does'nt already have whatevers needed. too much technical knowledge needed also and knowing how to print and source the barcodes from online into a jpeg file or whatever. And then resizing it to fit the desired size, and then the special sticker paper too. i have no knowledge on downloading codes or faxing or print screening or whatever it is.
its easy for people to suggest, much harder to actually do. not saying it isnt possible, just saying its not really worth it.
if i worked somewhere that had access to a sticker printer, and one of them paper scanner to digital file thingys, then my opinion might be different for experimentation reasons and purely educational purposes.
Yes I was wondering about this, LIDL is the same according to their website, seems to have been updated to what I read last week which was confusing. I can understand SuperValu not allowing it as some are independently owned.
If it was Galahad cans he was buying he deserves it out of stupidity 😂
Oh they are? Could you care to explain how exactly?
I don’t think myself stupid and I also feel I am a good problem solver, but being about 6ft1 the machines can hole, I suppose, are chest level.
So exactly how do people in wheelchairs successfully insert multiple cans?
I mean a disabled person has given their own account of not being able to use the machine but Hotblack Desiato has the simple solution for them all.
which is…?
So the question is are you a raging alcoholic, or are you printing barcodes, or is it a blend of both.😂
could be the case in my experience Musgraves isn’t terribly concerned with consistency across the brand.
I’ve never had two Frank & Honest coffees that were the same, never been to two or more centra or SuperValu stores that had the same atmosphere etc either!
Could well believe their policy on the matter is do whatever you want.
They arr'nt wheelchair accessible yet, as they don't have a ramp built onto them, or pole's at the side for wheelchair users to hold onto.
as far as i've seen, from the many RVM's i've been to, that is. It's possible that there may be 1 or 2 wheelchair accessible RVM's in ireland, i have yet to see one though. it's possible in a few months time some may be built if there's enough backlash over it.
Lad in front of me in Aldi tonight tried to buy his shopping and two cans using a DRS receipt to offset the cost, cashier said cause the receipt came from a different Aldi it couldn't be used there, he chose to put back one of the cans, heartbreaking stuff.
no, this was previously addressed somewhere in the other thread. it was either a case of him trying to steal a bottle back out of the machine and it went wrong, or else they were testing out some security feature on the machine when it was initially programmed to punish people who put non-return logo cans/bottles into the machine. This feature has been removed, it was a proto-type. The arm in the sling was from the guy forgetting to turn that setting off when testing the machine.
its maybe possible that they already went up last year in preparation for this. i vaguely recall them using "transport costs" for the recyclables as the excuse sometime last year. But then again that could have just been another businuess jumping on the the covid banwagon or ukraine thing, or something fuel/carbon tax based as an excuse to jack up price.
Either way whatever happens, the public are stuck dealing with the bad end of everything with an increase. even if its things that have nothing to do with ireland. Another green tax as alot of people have already put it.
Well then, Feast your eyes on this!
