There's the 5
Leen in planning application turns up some info too.
In other less exciting news, this old mill at top of Ashe Street is going to be converted into apartments!

I remember that about 30 years ago there was a meeting to discuss that building and that one "entitled" bunch of people came up with some wondrous plans for what they could do with it. The plans were shot down in flames when the owner of the building stood up and told them that she owned the building and not them.
They've changed their mind again now, it's back to crystal meth. 😛
€33m worth of drugs seized in Cork confirmed to be crystal meth (irishexaminer.com)
And also one for Cork!
It's registered to Carey's in Cork.
It looks like all except the cafe changed the director/secretary details yesterday according to the CRO, perhaps there's a plan B to try to preserve them? 😛
In fairness, I hope the businesses don't fold just because the bad apple at the top was rotten. If they can be run successfully and legally under new ownership, then long may they continue.
Jerry's tweet certainly aged well

I would imagine CAB will be looking at seizing and disposing of it as a going concern.
For CAB to seize it, I presume they would have to have to have strong evidence that it was built with the proceeds of crime, that could be tricky (and may not be the case)
I think there are a lot of businesses that wouldn't survive without additional "funding" but we can but hope that the ones with regular staff don't need any extra to survive.
I don't think I've seen this thread so busy!! 😜
We'll have to introduce more scandals when this one dies down a bit. We could have a Kerry Scandals section all on its own. 😛
Two men in tralee circuit court this evening about to be charged under drug and money laundering offences, wonder who 😛
where did you hear this?
Talking to someone working on ashe street
Prime Time have a feature on this case at 9:30 tonight, should be worth a watch
Hard to see after all their extensions why they wouldn’t take the full length of the current time they have. They still have over 12 hours to hold and question. Makes no sense to take them to court and charge now?
I hold my hands up on this one and say I must have been told wrong..
This seems to be the case
They will probably be brought tommorow morning
Total rubbish !!
T.
I missed it, what did it say?
Prime time, around 28 minutes in. Mainly talking about the Mexican cartel Prime Time - RTÉ Player (rte.ie)
Not built but financially supported with dodgy money. I guess we'll know soon enough.
I was thinking earlier that they might try to get them in tonight. If they had gotten all the info they needed to arrest, it would make a lot of sense logistically etc. to have a late night sitting.
That is what I had thought too, sometimes the guards wait until the final moment
I heard either sunday or monday that the lad in knocknagoshel who was caught with weed or something or other, was in tralee d court recently, had ratted on them too, not withstanding evidence the guards and CAB already had. Apparently he would visit once a week, that would sounds believable because of what happened there last September
Form states PSC accountants resign as company secretary being replaced by B.Falvey effective 20 Feb.

So, if they're charged, is that by the Gardai, and they will be appearing before the judge to determine where they'll be held until trial? And, will we learn their names once the Judge is done with them? Inquiring minds want to know!
I think the judge will make a decision at the court hearing today whether their names can be made public. I imagine they will. It was fair not to publish them before now as until charged, it would've been unfairly premature to name and shame if somehow the evidence wasn't solid enough to charge (despite the fact everyone in Kerry and beyond knows who the charged individuals are.....)
