Another 72 hour extension has been granted.
GardaΓ secure further extension to question men in relation to β¬32.8m Cork drugs findΒ (irishexaminer.com)
I cant cope with the excitement π
I thought you were talking about Sinn Fein there for a second.
I heard the menu has changed in the cafe and theyve taken hash browns off. π
Ha ha...Imagine the poor staff there these past few days being pestered with the same questions from customers and probably a lot more customers visiting out of curiosity. They are all probably just as in the dark as the rest of us!
Apparently a massive crowd was there on Saturday... one of the biggest they have ever had at the centre
In other news.....

They have both been remanded in custody for a further 48 hours according to radio kerry this morning. They will have to charge them by then end of that or seek another extension or release them by friday!
I've always read and heard that the manufacture of meth produces really horrible toxic fumes, I doubt they could keep it secret - but who knows what kind of technology they have access to. The best money can buy for sure.
Ballyseedy don't sell the sheds, they just rent the space to Steeltech as they do to the other shops within the garden centre. They only run the cafe and garden centre part themselves, the rest are concession stores.
You would wonder why they haven't charged the two boys yet if they have so much evidence?
Your man was all over social media acting the Billy Big Balls until about 10 days ago.
You would think after the raid or at least rumours of one last year would be keeping the head down.
If Breaking Bad has taught me anything, it's that the fumes are indeed a major issue for the manufacturers of crystal meth and that an industrial laundromat, and not a steeltech shed, would be needed to disguise the activities!
Yeah, but the owners are the owners of the site, no matter who they lease to. What else is going on there?
Can't imagine it being a nice place to work these days.
But sure we all have to have a bit of " the crack"π
@dominatinMC I head it was the machine to press it rather than process.next thing we'll hear is that their pet goldfish was providing security on the containers .
Not a kerryman... a former hurler i believe.. I have heard who it is supposed to be... shouldn't b hard to find if ya go looking
It wasn't manufactured in Ireland, it was manufactured in Cali in Columbia, it went threw Ireland as we are an easier route to legitimise its legal cargo with the illegal cargo, Spanish police has their chats.
Same as below in Limerick, alot of hands greased in the force too, it was Dublin guards leading it not Kerry guards, radio Kerry won't publish that.
KerryKartel, name checks out.
There was talk last summer of goings on related to organised crime in town but others on here debunked it as unsubstantiated WhatsApp gossip.
Were places actually raided last year does anyone know?
Even if was only whispers it is mind boggling levels of stupidity to keep the stuff on site after all that talk.
I was more inclined to think it would be money laundering initially. Business in a rural area with Tralee people much more likely to pay in cash than city folk from my experience of living in both.
I know that a couple of Guards were suspended after the last big "Limerick" do but I haven't heard a peep about that since. I'm pretty certain that there's more than one dubious Guard in Kerry, and the same probably goes for every other county.
I also never heard anything to do with the garage proprietor afterwards either. I remember the day that his used car lot was stripped in Limerick as I dropped into Birdhill M7 services for a coffee and the truck parking area had two or three fully loaded car transporters parked there. They must have been driving up and down all day long to remove over 200 cars.
The burger place in ardfert was raided a few weeks ago. It's incredible to think they left everything in place in the garden centre on foot of that.
Probably thought that the Guards would tip them off before the Centre was raided.
What was 'in place' at the Garden Centre?
And it turns out it was only MDMA. Face palm moment for the Shades.
Yes, it's very embarrasing for the force that they seized β¬33m worth of drugs...
There's forensic accounting going on. Ooh er. π They're probably sniffing round the auditor's office to do some of that.
GardaΓ 'trawl' through Kerry retailer files following crystal meth seizure (irishexaminer.com)
According to the CRO the company filed a change of director/secretary details on 21st Feb but it's too early to get the details, not that I'd bother paying β¬2.50 when a copy of the document becomes available.π
Seizures of MDMA are ten a penny in this country, seizures of meth are not.
For sure us Tralee folk would have been talking about it but it would not have not got half as much national media attention if it been announced as Mandy from day one.
There would appear to be at Least 5 companies associated with said business
Where's the news about MDMA being reported? Links would help. Still seems like it's focused on meth per the Examiner article ^^
https://www.rte.ie/news/munster/2024/0222/1433793-drug-seizure-cork/
Where would they be appearing? π
